The other day Rush Limbaugh was quoted as saying the Democrats lacked joy. He hit the nail on the head with that one I tell you. Anyone who watched the State of the Union could easily understand that.
First the Democrats muffed their Iowa caucus; in fact, they conducted it so badly they still don’t have the results and have become the laughingstock of the country. This prompted commentator Chris Matthews who is as ultra-liberal as they come to remark they were so inept they couldn’t organize a three-car funeral much less run a country. Then they listened for one hour and seventeen minutes as Trump named all of the accomplishments his administration had completed since he was elected.
But, perhaps the biggest blunder of late that bothered them to no end was the failed impeachment try that ended up failing miserably when Trump was acquitted yesterday.
Poor old Nancy Pelosi was so frustrated at the good news of the State of the Union that she broke protocol and like a child throwing a temper tantrum tore up the State of the Union speech and made a complete fool of herself. Likewise, her Democrat followers demonstrated their hatred by refusing to stand and applaud even the 100 year old Tuskegee African American war hero and his grandson. In fact, they didn’t applaud much of anything choosing to stoically sit there frowning and glaring and looking like they were mad at the world.
How miserable they must be to be so angry. It reminds me of the poem where there was “no joy in Mudville” when the mighty Casey struck out. Although the foregoing events the Democrats have endured of late were politically catastrophic, it is not the reason they are joyless.
Just look at their political platform’s antichrist nature. They want to remove even the mention of God, they are pro-abortion and flirting with infanticide, they want to cram transgenderism and homosexuality down the throats of anyone who agrees with the Bible concerning marriage being between one woman and one man, they don’t want prayer in schools or crosses displayed anywhere, and so on.
Joy comes from God. We cannot enjoy real joy in our lives without having a solid relationship with Him and this platform is not conducive to that. The hatred that is spewed at Donald Trump and the voters who elected him is of the world and Satan and not of God. Our country is divided, and it is understandable. Forces of evil and good cannot co-exist without clashing. I’m not saying that ALL Democrats are evil, but I am saying the Democrat party policies and desires for replacing our government with an antichrist socialist government is evil.
I dislike the Democrat’s policies and behavior but cannot help but feel sorry for those who are so full of hate. How I wish they could experience the Joy of Jesus in their hearts just for a day that they might see what they are missing. It gives me no joy to see them wallowing in bitterness and hate. I pray that Jesus will perform a mighty work in this country and joy can abound from one end of the country to the other and all points in-between. I pray that all people may have joy.
