The devaluation of human life in this country is manifesting itself every day. Florida authorities are trying to identify the person who posted an ad on Craigslist that appears to be selling a newborn baby for $500.
“Baby is 2 weeks old. It sleeps, don’t make noise at night,” the ad read, according to the Miami Herald. “Formula and clothes will give it to you. Can give you the baby 4 year old sister for free.”
The ad continued: “I live in a quiet influential neighborhood. I work for the department of children and families. I don’t wanna be judged for not wanting these kids.”
It’s unclear what, if any, Florida law might be broken by posting an online ad trying to sell a child. At least one South Florida mom has been arrested in the past decade for trying to sell her infant, but it wasn’t via an online post. Seven years ago, Kenia Quiala Bosque, of Opa-locka, was arrested after agents said she arranged to sell her 8-month-old son to a Monroe County man. She was charged with a felony charge of an adoption violation, which prohibits “to sell or surrender, or to arrange for the sale or surrender of, a minor to another person for money or anything of value.” Bosque wound up convicted and serving 180 days in jail, and she lost custody of her children. In 2017, a Tennessee man and woman were arrested after police said they tried to sell their 5-month-old son on Craigslist. Police arranged an undercover sting, and charged them with aggravated child abuse, child neglect and endangerment.
At this point it has not been determined if this ad is just a bad joke or a legitimate ad, but the police are taking it seriously and investigating. I am sickened by reading this garbage. My God – My God what has become of this great country? Society does not value the most defenseless among us. Our children are a gift that comes directly from God and yet that are treated as a commodity. So many little kids are abused and unwanted it is just so SAD. Millions are killed through abortion and their body parts sold by godless groups like Planned Parenthood, (our government subsidizes this slaughter.) They are trafficked and sold as sex slaves to perverted evil men and the revenue is in the billions of dollars. Innocent children are being ravaged by evil people for money all over the world to satisfy the lust. The depravity shown by so many in this country will indeed be judged and not soon enough the way I see it. God I plead with You to protect the innocent children among us.
