So last night the thugs were at it again. Looting, throwing rocks and bottles, shooting, drugging, drinking, cursing, and setting fires to their own community. The violence displayed in Baltimore, Ferguson, L.A., NYC, Oakland and other cities as of late is but a taste of the anarchy that will soon come to a city near you.
I’m in Houston attending a conference for the Global mission initiative and what a contrast between what we are trying to accomplish and what the antichrist forces are accomplishing.
This morning I was praying for a friend of mine that is attending a conference in Washington D.C.to form a coalition to end jihad. She also has a ministry that has a purpose of identifying who is funneling money to various shell organizations whose purpose is to destroy our country. Obviously her life is in danger and that is why we all need to pray for her this morning. I’m so proud of her though for sticking her head above the clover knowing full well that evil forces will try to blow it off and yet she is DOING SOMETHING for her Lord and Savior!
Although things look grim in this country and at times can be disheartening, I do believe that God is calling for a Great Awakening. Leaders like this lady and others elsewhere around the country are courageously and sacrificially working against the forces of evil and I believe that a great harvest for the Lord is eminent due to their efforts. I spoke last night to a friend who just returned from yet another long 10,000 mile trip to Indonesia and heard his report of reaching HUGE numbers of young people for Christ. The results are so phenomenal that his mission had to be of supernatural origin with divine intervention.
I guess I would like to say this morning that yes things are spiraling down and we are living in the evil Last Days before Christ’s return, but it is also a time of great revival and opportunity to help many people find the peace, love, compassion, mercy, and joy of Jesus before the final curtain goes down.
Don’t waste time lamenting the evil besetting us; what is destined to happen will happen, but do what you can to bring others into the kingdom while there is yet time. If you do not have a heart for lost souls and are not burdened by their condition, then you should deeply look into your own salvation. The last words uttered by Jesus in ALL FOUR OF THE Gospels were that we should preach the Gospel and make disciples of all of the nations. If you are only concerned about getting into heaven yourself and the heck with everyone else, what does that say about your understanding of God?
Ok you state I cannot preach, witness, or disciple? Can you pray, offer resources to support others, and otherwise further the kingdom of God? Of course we all can do something. Remember we will ALL be held accountable for what we did and didn’t do. Romans 14:12 – “So then each of us shall give account of himself to God.”
While works will not get you into heaven and all are justified by faith and grace and not be works, we are instructed that works are truth positive that we have faith. Merely believing in God and Jesus is not enough; why even the demons believe that . . .
James 2:18
Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself. But someone may well say, “You have faith and I have works; show me your faith without the works, and I will show you my faith by my works.” You believe that God is one. You do well; the demons also believe, and . . .
