I spent most of yesterday dodging bullets left and right, (mainly from the left), for my comments about agreeing with President Obama that many in this country are lazy, uninspired, lacked ambition and so forth. I don’t know what’s up with you left wingers that subscribe; you get mad when I disagree with the prez, and also when I agree with him???

Some wrote and stated that Romney was a Mormon and wanted to know if I have a problem with that. No, I don’t have a problem with it. I disagree with the Mormon belief system, but I think Romney is well qualified and would make a good president. Would he be perfect? Yeah right…

Like most Mormons that I’ve met he seems to be a very moral person with high integrity who loves his family. He seems honest and has forgotten more about business and creating jobs than the entire Obama administration put together. He would undoubtedly be a gigantic improvement over the person who currently resides in the Whitehouse and I really believe that he could get the economy going again.

I’m old enough to remember John F. Kennedy and the apprehension that since he was a Catholic, if he got elected, he would take his orders directly from the Catholic Pope, but that never materialized. (Don’t know if Marilyn Monroe had anything to do with that or not.) Nixon was a Quaker, but couldn’t live up to their high moral standards and ended up being disgraced and run out of office for his dirty tricks. (Don’t know where he learned to use profanity like that.) Jimmy Carter professed to be a born again Christian, but “holy buckets” his administration was a disaster right out of a horror movie. Frankly I don’t know how he raised peanuts; he must have had a good foreman, because he doesn’t have sense enough to come in out of the rain.

I also like Newt Gingrich, but there are those who chastise him for his three marriages. In that regard he has said that he went to God and asked forgiveness for his mistakes and is now reconciled and professes complete faith in Him. Who am I to argue that point? God changes people for sure! I think Newt is smart, experienced in world affairs and a good debater and might be a good candidate.

Ron Paul seems like a kook to me. A friend tore into me about saying that the other day, but I think some of his ideas especially on defense and isolationism are dangerous. Cain does not seem to have a good knowledge of global issues; Perry seems to be a good old boy career politician and does not seem smart enough to be president; Bachman would drive me crazy with her whiny voice; Santorum always has an expression on his face that makes him appear to be constipated and is disconcerting to watch; Huntsman should have stayed in the Obama administration.

Hmmm… It is interesting to note that we are, (after everything is said and done), mere human beings with our imperfections and frailties. Running for office doesn’t change that one iota. When someone announces that they are going to run for office, it’s only a matter of time until some skeletons are found in the closet.

Yikes! Mine would look like a Halloween party in the French Quarter…

Perfection can only be found in Jesus Christ, but it looks like He decided to sit this election out. What a shame; we really need you Jesus.

We need you to destroy the antichristian, idolatrous, persecuting powers that currently exist, and usher in pure Christianity, worship, and holiness throughout the earth. By the all-powerful working of the Holy Spirit, horrible pains, diseases, and other calamities would cease, as would sorrow and suffering. As a bonus all the evils of public and private contests would be ended, and happiness of every kind infinitely increased. – (No more attack ads)

Jesus is coming back and will personally rule this earth for 1000 years then on to eternity. Every person should pray for these promised glorious days, and to do everything we can to prepare for them. Until then choose your poison in the upcoming election and pray for whoever might win to return us to a path of God fearing sanity and morality.

Rev.22:5

There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever.
