Moral compass gone haywire

I was appalled last night to watch the news and see two employees of ACORN help two people, (who went undercover, posing as a prostitute and a pimp), to setup what the ACORN employees thought would be a prostitution business. They advised them how to evade taxes, smuggle 13 year old girls into this country from El Salvador to be used as prostitutes, and a variety of other crimes. A judge estimated that they committed at least eight serious crimes and could serve as much as forty years for it.

This is nothing new for ACORN; they were accused of voter fraud in the last election for registering millions of voters that do not even exist and various other crimes.

It is most disheartening to know that this organization, ACORN, has received millions and millions of dollars in stimulus money; however it is far worse to see these ladies totally devoid of any moral compass. Think about this for a moment, they were advising the undercover reporters how to smuggle thirteen year old girls into this country to be used as prostitutes and if that is not bad enough, how to declare them as dependents on their income tax return and avoid paying taxes on their prostitution business and write it off as though it was all in a day’s work!

Our hard earned tax dollars are paying the salaries of these employees. The entire country is aware that this organization is riddled with fraud. Where is the outrage? I am amazed that congress still refuses to investigate them and that the mainstream media does not go ballistic with this story. News flash: ACORN helped organize voters for the President and others within the Democratic Party and helped them win the election- enough said. Politicians have to pay back the folks that got them there whether it is unions, trial lawyers, or good old ACORN.

Our country is spiraling into a vast sea of corruption just as Mexico and other Latin American and third world countries are doing. Greed and corruption run rampant and not a day goes by without another politician getting indicted. Republicans and Democrats alike are drunk with power and greed. Practically every nominee for the President’s administration admitted to tax evasion and other crimes, incredulously including the man who currently heads up the IRS. Ouch!

Of course they all lie with total comfort and ease. Did you see the president actually get called a liar during his address to congress the other night? He said that health care would not apply to illegal immigrants and a congressman yelled out, “That’s a lie!” I suppose it was rude to yell at the president, but even a complete moron knows that illegal immigrants will be provided with health care. No politician, especially him, is going to deny them medical attention. (They might lose the Latino vote in the next election if they dared to offend illegal aliens.)

As we enter the weekend I hope you will pray that somehow this country will get back on its moral course. Greed, corruption, and, (call it what it is SIN), is literally ruining our great country and we are watching as it decays and falls apart before our very eyes. Only God can heal this land, but we must pray that he will do so and insist that our representatives in government turn from corruption. Express some outrage! Write your congressmen and senators and go to a tea party on Saturday, but most of all get down on the knees and pray!
