A friend of mine was really down the other day. Nosy me had to ask and I heard an earful. Bottom line there were family problems that caused some hurt feelings, anger, and worry. Worry is senseless because it accomplishes nothing but making the situation worse. The time wasted on worrying could be better spent thinking about ways to improve the situation, or if you have done all you can do and it is out of your hands now, then pray that God will give you peace about it. God has promised to take care of you, and for crying out loud give Him some credit and let Him do so. Have faith!
Hurt feelings and anger go hand in hand. The Bible has some good advice about anger. It tells us to meditate on it and to be “still” and not sin and trust Him. Hmmm…if we did that there would be no hurt feelings, worry and anger. Problems solved right?
Psalms 4:4
Be angry, and do not sin.
Meditate within your heart on
your bed, and be still.
Offer the sacrifices of
righteousness
And put your trust in the Lord.
