Glaring evidence

Watching the news one cannot fully appreciate one of the most glaring proofs of the existence of God, the truths found in the Bible concerning Gods relationship with the Jewish people, and prophecies of things to come. One thing that is amazing is the size of Israel. We cannot grasp just how small a country Israel is compared to the rest of the world simply by watching the news footage. We are overwhelmed with news stories about this tiny country and the nations that hate it, and without thinking about it, we could think of it as a big country. One must get a map or globe and locate this tiny little nation and then reflect about why such a tiny speck on a large globe gets worldwide attention every day. Israel is the Promised Land that resulted from Gods covenant with Abraham. It is the center of worldwide attention because God wants it that way. He predicted throughout the Bible it would remain so throughout time, and the predictions are being fulfilled daily.

The Middle East crisis will not be resolved until Christ returns to resolve it. Leaders will continue to pontificate and continue to negotiate but Im afraid it is simply a feeble effort that will not avert the inevitable. Jesus stated that when we see armies surrounding this holy land that the end is near. Armies surround Israel today. Certainly the world is divided into two groups, those who are for Israel and those against. Sides are being chosen for the worlds last and most devastating war. I believe that one reason the United States has been blessed by God is because we have stood by Israel. Indeed if it were not for our support, other nations would attack sooner rather than later. This may change as more and more nations try to appease the Arab nations who control oil and/or threaten terrorism to nations who side with Israel. This is one more reason to elect a strong President like Bush who will stand by his convictions no matter how unpopular they may be to those in the world who are non-Christians.

The Jews have returned to the Holy Land after being scattered for 2000 years throughout the world after the crucifixion of Jesus just as predicted. We are approaching the final days and the Rapture of believers I believe could happen at any moment. According to the Bible, we cannot know the exact time; however signs were given. Just as we know a storm approaches if we look to the heavens, we can know that the Rapture is just around the corner if we will open our Bibles and read. If you or someone you know is not a Christian, NOW is the time to make your decision. Eternity apart from Jesus will be your reward for procrastination. There is but one way to approach the Father and that is through Jesus Christ…

Jesus used an example of a certain tree with tender branches for a parable of knowing when we would enter the end times. What kind of tree? What was its significance?
