Lonely days and lonely nights

This morning I was trying to compose a song on the way in to work. The lyrics that keep going through my mind pertain to lonely days and lonely nights. Im not lonely now, but I have been very lonely in times past. It is not a good feeling. I was not a Christian at the time that I was lonely and my life was miserable. What a difference the Lord can make in our lives if we simply allow Him to. If new friends are what you want simply start visiting churches until you find the one that is right for you and your family. There are tons of churches out there just waiting to welcome new members. Sunday schools or the popular contemporary groups that are popping up in churches are perfect vehicles for meeting new friends who share a common love for our Creator and have lifestyles that are similar to ours. It is very difficult meeting people at church without attending Sunday school or groups. I made that mistake for years. Strong lasting friendships are yours for the asking if you will simply find the right Sunday school class or group.

I have more friends and acquaintances now than at any point of my life, but Im not lonely even when I am not around friends or other people. I always feel the Lords presence in my life and I converse with Him via prayer many times throughout the day. A close personal relationship with the Lord will fill every void in your life. He wants us to have fulfilling lives and He watches over our every move. Einstein believed in God but he did not believe in a personal God that was approachable by mankind. I dont know where he dreamed that up. The Bible states that we were created for the express purpose of having fellowship with God. I suppose God Himself was lonely and perhaps that is one reason that we were created in the first place. His love and desire for fellowship is our salvation. Jesus suffered mightily in order that we might be reunited with the Lord and thereby resume a close personal fellowship with Him whereby we can serve Him and fulfill our initial purpose for being created.

If you suffer from lonely days and lonely nights, just find the Lord and everything will be all right. (I think Ill use that in my new song.)
