Sing a song

The Bible tells us that if we are suffering we should pray and if we are cheerful we should sing a Psalm. Most people do not realize that much of Psalms was intended to be sung. Apparently it is pleasing to God for us to sing praises and hymns. I have observed that many people do not sing at church. Whether you have a magnificent voice like Elvis or croak like a bullfrog, it is a blessing to God and to you for you to participate. The next time you have the opportunity to sing a hymn at church, try it and really get into it. You will feel Gods presence as you get into it. If the person next to you covers his ears, just keep on belting it out. Sing to God like there is no tomorrow.

James 5:13

Is anyone among you suffering?

Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful?

Let him sing psalms.
