Need some help?

The Bible teaches that God hears the cries of the righteous and that he will deliver them. What about the unrighteous? I believe that He hears their cries too, but is not moved by them. Unanswered prayer could be the result of unrighteous people petitioning God. The Bible teaches that God abhors evil thinking people. That is pretty strong language when you think about it. How would you like to be abhorred by God, the creator of the universe? Unless someone repents and accepts His Son Jesus as their Savior, God will not relieve them of their suffering, nor will he deliver them from condemnation. Are you righteous? What does righteous mean. The word itself indicates that we should be living right. The only way we can be righteous is through Jesus Christ. Please note that all of humanity, (even the righteous), suffer broken hearts, afflictions and sadness, all of which are the result of sin. The big difference is that God will comfort and deliver His children during these dark times that we all endure.

Psalm 35:15

The eyes of the Lord are on the

righteous,

And His ears are open to their

cry.

The face of the Lord is against

those who do evil,

To cut off the remembrance of

them from the earth.

The righteous cry out,

And the Lord hears,

And delivers them out of all

their troubles.

The Lord is near to those who

have a broken heart,

And saves such as have a

contrite spirit.

Many are the afflictions of the

Righteous,

But the Lord delivers him

out of them all.

How well do you know the Bible?

Adam and Eve both received curses for committing the original sin in the Garden of Eden. What were the specific curses put on each which have been handed down to every generation since?
