Life is tough enough without bringing on more hardship. I try not to argue with anyone. I cannot say that I am always successful, or that I have always felt this way, but I try. Arguing accomplishes one thing: strife. We do not win arguments, because even if we make the best points, we still lose, because the other party will be resentful.

Incredibly some seem to thrive on strife. Some folks go out of their way to argue, even joining in on things that do not even concern them. Solomon described it as follows: He who passes by and meddles in a quarrel not his own, is like one who takes a dog by the ears.

Most dogs will bite you if you mess with their ears. Dont get bitten, stay out of other peoples quarrels and try to avoid your own. A companion to meddling in others quarrels is spreading rumors, gossip, and slandering your neighbor. It only creates more problems and is not from God. That makes it satanic and we should avoid it at all cost. Do you meddle? Do you talk about others behind their back?

Proverbs26:20

Where there is no wood

The fire goes out;

And where there is no

Talebearer, strife ceases.

How well do you know the Bible?

One of the last things Christ asked of His Father as He was being crucified on the cross was for God to, forgive them for they know not what they do. Another person uttered similar words as evil men put him to death because of his love for Christ. Who was this martyr and how did he die? Please do not let these examples of forgiveness in spite of the worst imaginable treatment by evil men be lost on you as you think about the lesson of todays WFTD.

Acts 7:57
