The Jewish people have a religious holiday called Passover. It is in remembrance of the angel of death passing overJewish households while in the process of destroying the first born of every household in Egypt that did not have the blood of a lamb posted on the doorposts and lintel outside their home. This event is symbolic of what is to come when we die. If the blood of the “Lamb”, Jesus Christ, covers our sins, we will be saved. If not we will face the destroyer. If anyone thinks that God is not going to live up to His promises in the Bible to destroy non-believers in Jesus Christ, all that is needed is to read the Bible; especially passages such as this one.Much of what is recorded in the Old Testament is directly connected to and symbolic ofthe Messiah Jesus Christ.

Jesus lived a perfect life, free from all sin. His death was a perfect sacrifice for the sins of the world. To escape punishment His blood must be covering us at the judgment.Without it, we will have to stand alone. God’s law is perfect and the Bible states that no man has ever lived a perfect life except Jesus. The penalty for breaking the least law is eternal separation from God and condemnation to eternal damnation. God loved us so much that he provided a way of escape. It is through the preciousblood of the Lamb, Jesus Christ.

Romans 5:9
But God demonstrates His own
love towards us, in that while we were
still sinners, Christ died for us.
Much more then, having now
been justified by His blood, we shall
be saved from wrath through Him.
For if when we were enemies,
we were reconciled to God through
the death of His Son, much more
having been reconciled, we shall be
saved by His life.
