Dig deep

Don’t get discouraged when reading the Bible. Bible study can be likened to mining for precious stones. Often the richest find is deep within and not just laying on the surface. Don’t be discouraged if all the answers for which you are searching, don’t just jump out at you in the initial reading.To be sure some will, but sometimes we must really study and even pray to God for understanding. Don’t be discouraged, Bible study can and will change your life for the better. It has certainly changed my life for the better.

I believe the single most important thing about Bible study is to assign a specific time to do it. Just like an exercise program, consistency is the order of the day. Personally I prefer mornings. It helps me start my day off right and I’m fresher in the mornings. I used to study the Bible at night and ended up falling asleep half the time. Whatever works best for you, just do it.The answers to all of your tough questions are right there within reach.

There are countries in this world where people are put to death just for owning a Bible.The Lord has blessed us with living in a country where we can carry a Bible to work with us and read it during lunch hour if so desired. The Bible is given to us by the creator of all things; it is Hisholy instruction manual to us.This is one instruction manual that we need to read and study.
