Anyone who has worked for our company for any length of time and has been counseled by me, understands that I believe in running the race in a manner in which we will win. I go all out and suggest that you do too. Why? Because this is not a dress rehearsal. We will only have an opportunity to live this life once. I say give it all you have and try to win the race. I want to be a winner, not a loser!

The Bible tells us to do exactly the same thing with our spiritual lives too. We should run our race in such a way that we win the prize. The spiritual race that we run yields the greater prize. Death swallows up the material things that we garner, but death cannot touch the things that we do for our Lord. I want to be a winner for the Lord, not a loser. Losers are whiners and excuse makers. Winners just stand around and grin, modestly of course, as they are awarded the spoils. Oh what a feeling it would be for God to look down upon us and have Him tell us that we have fought the good fight and have done a good job with our lives for Him. Wouldn’t you love to hear: “Well done my son/daughter”?

1 Cor.9:24
Do you know that those who
run in a race all run, but one receives
the prize? Run in such a way that
you may obtain it.
And everyone who competes for
the prize is temperate in all things.
Now they do it to obtain a perishable
crown, but we for an imperishable
crown.
