Choose friends carefully

The people that we choose to associate with will be a reflection of us.
The Bible instructs us to choose our friends carefully. I believe that parents should be aware of who their children choose as friends, as sometimes they are not mature enough to make wise decisions in this realm. Peer pressure and the desire to be popular has ruined many a life. God’s way is not easy in this world which has its own standards which are declining every day, and it is hard to “just say no”. It is easier to avoid drinking or taking drugs if one is never around anyone who does. Godly friends who love the Lord can and will make all the difference. Even a righteous person can be influenced and led astray by the ungodly. Why subject yourself to temptation when you really do not have to?
