Mel Gibsons movie has been so successful that Hollywood is now scrambling to produce anything concerning the life and times of Jesus Christ. The big problem is that unlike Mel Gibson who was meticulous in accurately portraying the events concerning the suffering that Jesus underwent on the cross according to the Bible; many of their attempts are grossly inaccurate. Newscasters have decided to enter the fray too and of course they must be inclusive and politically correct, so they give practically anyone who they deem to be interesting views as fact. These people use conjecture and their own logic to explain the events surrounding the Bible, often scoffing at various critical passages. They portray the events as recorded in the Bible as being distorted with the passage of time and purport that their own silly reasoning is superior to that recorded and passed down for some two thousand years.

The results are not much. In fact it is downright disturbing. I am appalled at how little they know about the Bible and what the Bible has to say about the information that is recorded within its pages. The Bible states that it is divinely inspired. It sternly warns against adding to it or taking away even one word. It is Gods holy word and I honestly cannot conceive of a holy all powerful God who could raise people from the dead and create the cosmos , who could not even inspire someone like Paul, Peter, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John and the rest to accurately record His holy word for all generations.

Please read the Bible and study it for yourself. Satans plan from the beginning of time is to tell enough truth to convince you that every lie that he spews thenceforth is truth. The Bible states that in the last days prior to Gods return there will be a great revival and everyone on earth will hear about Jesus. With the powerful media and the Internet it is easy to see how this will indeed occur and will help spread the gospel. Beware though, as it also states that false prophets will rise up in the last days too. The Bible states that we will know them by their fruits. Good trees produce good fruit. An example might be a cult leader with fifty wives. He does not have good fruit, and does not follow the teachings of the Bible.

Reading the Bible for yourself is a sure way to see if any of these people including your own pastor is really preaching the truth according to Gods word. Base your faith upon the Bible, not someones conjecture and guesswork. Honest people may have some interpretations that are slightly different; however the differences will be minor. The Bible states that God is the same today as He will be tomorrow, as He was yesterday. He does not change with politics or world events. He is steadfast and solid as a rock. In this chaotic, crazy world that is refreshing to me. His holy word is truth and it will serve His holy purpose of redeeming those who believe and remain steadfast in their faith.

Isaiah 55:11

And so shall My word be that goes

forth from My mouth;

It shall not return to Me

void,

But it shall accomplish what I

please,

And it shall prosper in the

thing for which I sent it.

How well do you know the bible?

The very last verses in the Bible are as follows, true or false?

For I testify to everyone who

hears the words of the prophecy of

this book: If anyone adds to these

things, God will add to him the

plagues that are written in this book;

and if anyone takes away from

the words of the book of this prophecy,

God shall take away his part

from the Book of Life, from the holy

city, and from the things which are

written in this book.
