I am hesitant to write this as I have always taken a different appraoach; however the Bible states it and I believe the Bible. Im talking about our demeanor as we ask for grace from our beloved Saviour Jesus Christ. I have always taken the approach that we should approach Him in a timid manner, hat in hand, meekly asking for mercy when in need. The Bible states just the opposite, telling us to come boldly to the throne of grace.

Considering some of the things that I have done in my past, Im not comfortable with coming boldly to Jesus about anything. However in trying to understand why God included this in the Bible, I can only surmise that it is because He wants us to know that He understands our weaknesses and is compassionate towards us in spite of them. He wants to completely forgive us for our transgressions and completely forget them for all of eternity. As far as He is concerned they do not exist, once we are born again and washed in His precious blood. He loves us with the love of a Father toward His children. He understands our weaknesses and indeed was tempted as a human and knows first-hand how hard it is to resist temptation. Although He did not commit the first sin, He endured unimaginable pain and suffering on the cross for all humanitys sins, and now our debt is fully paid and we should get on with things.

Imagine a loving Father who paid a great personal price and sacrificed mightily in order to voluntarily pay in full every debt that you owe and now you are completely free of debt. He did it for no other reason than the fact that He loves us. That is Jesus Christ.

hebrews 4:15

For we do not have a High Priest

who cannot sympathize with our

weaknesses, but was in all points

tempted as we are, yet without sin.

Let us therefore come boldly to

the throne of grace, that we may

obtain mercy and find grace to help in

time of need.

How well do you know the Bilble?

It is impossible to please God if we are missing ___________?

Hebrews 11:6
