Warfare

Daily we get news of the war in Iraq. It is upsetting and worrisome.
People dying and horrible senseless acts of violence occur daily.
Warfare in Iraq is just a part of a bigger war that is going on in this old world; it is a war of good vs. evil. Rapes, murders, divorce, abortion, suicide, armed robberies, corruption, lying, adultry, drugs all are parts of the evil being waged against us in this warfare and are just as upsetting and worrisome.

Jesus came to bring peace to the world. Soon we will celebrate his birth. Even His birth has resulted in a battle as secular forces ignore His glorious appearing with tall tales about Santa Claus and Rudolph the rednosed reindeer. Nativity scenes are barred from public places, evil secular forces have removed Christ from Christmas with an X of all things, (X’mas). How blatant is that? They are trying to X Christ out of Christmas and it is more successful than one can imagine. Macys and Bloomindales have changed there policies this year whereby their sales people are forbidden from saying Merry Christmas to their customers.

It is my hope that more of us will spend this Christmas celebrating the true reason for Christmas and not lose sight of it amidst the piles of presents. Jesus Christ is our gift from God to all of humanity and Christmas day is His birthday. You will not receive a finer gift from anyone, anywhere, for any price. Through Him we have love and it is what Christians use in their warfare against evil. Stories of Christ’s love are not beamed into our living rooms every night on the news, but His love does exist and eventually will win out and evil will no longer exist. What a glorious day of rejoicing that will be…When we all get to heaven and we all see Jesus…And the peace that surpasses all understanding will overtake all who know Him and love Him. Jesus is the Prince of Peace and the salvation of all mankind. AMEN !

Ephesians 6:11
Put on the whole armor of God,
that you may be able to stand
against the wiles of the devil.
For we do not wrestle against
flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Therefore take up the whole
armor of God, that you may be able
to withstand in the evil day, and
having done all, to stand.
