Well, I turned the corner on COVID and the coughing has mostly abated. Aside from feeling exhausted, I’m good to go. My daughter-in-law had the exact same thing, and she wrote yesterday and said she was miserable and “pretty sure she was dying”. LOL, She has always had a flare for the melodramatic and a terrific sense of humor.
I was thinking back to a few days ago and my stomach was so sore from coughing I could barely breathe, and I was seriously wondering if I was gonna make it through this one or not. One of my sons barely acknowledged that I had anything wrong with me and snorted contemptuously and acted like it was no big deal. He had a light case of it a few months ago and thought it was much ado over nothing for the rest of the world like it was for him. As always, he did not think it through and realize that his mother and I are 75 years old and at that age more than one has succumbed to this awful sickness.
At any rate I’m very happy that I have quit continuously coughing, especially coughing up blood. My wife is not up yet but I did not hear her coughing last night so we should be good to go by the end of the week. Isn’t it amazing how a little tiny bug brought the entire world to its knees? Think of the devastation caused by it including countless lives lost, and entire world economies shattered.
The Bible warns that as we approach the End of Time there will be among other things pestilence, (endemic), and famine. We have experienced the endemic and if the current shortages are any indication, we are not that far from famine. Blame it on Bidenomics, Ukraine war, climate change or all of the foregoing, it is very real and happening before our eyes.
There are many other signs of which Jesus spoke when asked when He might return. It is like reading the newspaper or watching the news as we see prophecy unfold. There was a great ray of hope with the two Supreme Court rulings, one for overturning Roe and the other allowing coaches to pray at athletic events. A great revival is predicted along with the End Times devastation. Could it be we are on the cusp of experiencing that? Is God preparing for one giant push to harvest more lost souls prior to Armageddon?
I pray that is the case. After so many years of losing battle after battle against evil it feels very good to win one. Let us pray for a great harvest of lost souls and the laborers to work in the fields. I’m happy the Lord gave me more time to live another day to fight another battle.

You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.
Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.
All these are the beginning of birth pains.
“Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me.
At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people.
Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.
And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
