Well the President and first lady tested positive for Covid. I prayed for both of them as soon as I heard the news. I have often wondered why the radicals are called the “left.” I was thinking this morning that perhaps it is because all common decency, conscience, remorse, and love “left” them long ago. I say that after reading some of the Twitter remarks made. I would dislike being so filled with hate that I would say some of the things being said but that is the environment that we live in. These people get up in the morning spewing venom and are consumed by their hate.
I wrote just this morning in my daily Bible study of 2 Kings chapter 17 that I couldn’t understand why the Jewish nation did not believe in God, practiced child sacrifice and witchcraft, worshipped idols and generally broke every command given by God. It resulted in them being taken into captivity by the Syrians and totally stripped of all their land. I see definite correlations to our nation.
As I wrote yesterday being nice and full of love is so preferable to the darkness that surrounds them, but the Bible declares that some prefer darkness over the light. All we can do is pray for them and witness to them and trust God that we will not endure the punishment and wrath of God that will surely take them down.
John 3:20
For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed.
