Yeah right . . . Lol – Lol
The sweet smelling sea, tropical breezes, and monster sword fish beckon me.
It is a pleasure to get away. I’m so sick of the news I could gag. It’s like a never ending nightmare. Lies, censorship, smear campaigns, and dirty tricks abound. It is a titanic battle of good versus evil (or perhaps less evil versus pure evil.)
What is evil anyway? Evil is anything that is opposite to the holy character of God. Anything contrary to the will of God is evil. There can be no rational denying that evil exists in the world.
I have been studying the Old Testament and it was no different back in those days compared to today. A faction wanted to sacrifice their children to Molech (an idol) where kids were literally burned alive and nowadays, they want to put their babies inside the womb to death even though they can feel the excruciating pain as they are torn apart with forceps screaming silently as they succumb to a grisly death.
Politicians will seemingly do anything in order to obtain power. Their lust for it knew no bounds in biblical times and it hasn’t changed a bit in modern times. They appeased the lusts of the people by allowing child sacrifice, drunken orgies and allowed prostitutes, (both men and women) to desecrate the temples. Violence including murder was commonplace and revenge was not only allowed, it was expected by the closest of kin.
Through the ages society has advanced technologically, but morals are still in the dark ages and I do mean dark ages! Satan is the ruler of planet earth and the Bible tells us that God is restraining him at the moment, or it would be much worse.
We as Christians should hate evil as it is the beginning of the fear, (respect) of the Lord. Proverbs 8:13 states, The fear of the Lord is hatred of evil. Pride and arrogance and the way of evil and perverted speech I hate.
If we know God “hates” evil, why don’t we hate it instead of indulging in it?
I have been practicing my guitar and getting a little better as the weeks roll by. Many things are like that in this world. We improve over time in most everything. We are an advanced nation beyond anyone in biblical times wildest dreams. Why haven’t we advanced in morality seeking peace, love, a joyous existence, and in righteousness? I cannot answer that one. For some strange reason sin is in our DNA – All of us!
But fear not because you know that God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. Your sins and mine are forgiven.
Ephesians 2:8
