In just a few more weeks the election will be over, and our short term fate will be decided. However, as polarized as our nation is it will certainly not end conflict and there will be no such thing as unity.
I cannot bear to think of socialism being the norm and being ruled by a few rich and powerful secular tyrants. I’m praying for a miracle and that Donald J. Trump will be reelected; however, even if he is, the people of this nation who support Biden will not come together and get behind our leader and strife will continue. If Biden is elected those who stand for Trump will not come together under him either and when Kamala Harris takes over it will be an even bigger disaster.
I’m confident I’ve done all I can do in writing about the consequences of voting for a godless agenda such as the Democrat’s and I’ve personally voted against it. I’ve prayed and continue to pray daily. It’s literally all I can think of to do.
I miss our great country! Yes, it’s always had its imperfections but in my 73 years I’ve never seen United States citizens so full of hatred, bitterness and division. The solution as I see it is for the nation to turn to God. “One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
To say that it cannot happen is a sin because all things are possible with God. Revival of this magnitude however, has never happened since the history of the world without the people first repenting. And with my shallow intellect I cannot even envision folks who love evil and their sins with passion ever repenting, much less believe that they actually will.
I saw a sign in the Florida Keys the other day advertising “floating rooms.” I thought how nice it would be to rest in a floating room oblivious to the world and its raging inhabitants who are intent upon trying to destroy each other. Just relax and float and dream of a faraway place without all of our nation’s problems.
I cannot help but believe that with the advent of Covid 19, fires, hurricanes, economic ruin, China’s warlike aggression, and the total polarization of our nation that something even more terrible is going to happen. Perhaps we are all closer to heaven than we realize. I hope that there are some floating rooms in that glorious place where we can relax and rest.
We as Christians should not be afraid and indeed live our lives boldly because our future is brighter than anyone can imagine. Keep the faith and if you have ever read the Bible you know all of this ends very well for those of us who love Jesus.
Deuteronomy 31:6
So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the LORD your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.
