One of my sons is on vacation and came down to Florida for a visit, and enjoying the beach and some fishing. He told me that he has unsubscribed from Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and all breaking news notices due to the lopsided coverage. He wondered aloud if anyone else was doing the same.
I keep hearing about white racist policemen. No one ever reports on the racists that are black, brown, or red that perform acts of violence against people that don’t look like them. If we intake any form of media and analyze it, one would think that all white people especially the police want to destroy all blacks in this country. What happened to “fair and balanced” coverage?
I’m the first to admit that police brutality exists. I lived through it and the worst beating I ever had was at the hands of five police officers who beat me and stomped me repeatedly, breaking all of my ribs and giving me a brain concussion in the process. I can relate to blacks in particular resenting those officers who are unnecessarily brutal. In fairness the police have a tough job in subduing someone, particularly a violent offender, in such a manner as to merely get them under control instead of exacting punishment upon them for whatever crime they committed, no matter how heinous.
It is a fact that violent behavior towards people of other races comes from both sides. A retired doctor friend sent me the following video. Do you recall ever seeing anything like this on your news cast?
No one would dare run anything of that nature on a news cast because they would, at a minimum, be fired and banned for life from working in their chosen profession. We are seeing it happen daily as long-time reporters, college professors, CEO’s, actors, pastors and others who go against the prescribed talking points of the speech police lose their jobs and have their lives ruined for simply expressing an opinion, (no matter how truthful,) that is contrary to the WOKE culture mantra.
The editor of the New York Times op-ed section recently found this out when he allowed a dissenting opinion written by Senator Tom Cotton to be published and was subsequently fired. Senator Cotton’s article simply stated that Trump should if necessary call in the National Guard to restore order and protect the citizens and establish control of the streets and stop the rioting, arson, and looting by whatever means necessary.
It seems to me that many in our nation want to hide the truth which is that the sin of racism is prevalent in all races. Anyone who dares to differ must be attacked and destroyed by whatever means necessary. Oddly these same people defend the right to free speech to demonstrate in the streets and many even defend the right of the demonstrators to loot and destroy homes and businesses with arson at these protests; however they will not tolerate any critique of their actions and they feel that people having their property destroyed is justified. Unfortunately these riots affected people of their own race disproportionately, but no one dare say that.
They in fact want to disband and/or defund the police.
Wat???
I heard an interview of the President of the Minneapolis city council respond when asked by a CNN reporter, ” . . . if you disband the police force, who would you call if a thief broke in your house late at night.” She said perhaps a mental health counselor to talk to the intruder and then she added something about whites needing to experience what they have never experienced due to their privilege and that is to know fear.
Help me Jesus . . . That’s the dumbest idea I’ve ever heard.
Some will declare me a racist for even bringing this subject up and I suppose it’s safer to just keep quiet and tip toe around and say nothing. I can’t seem to do that because I hate injustice coming from any side. Racism is a sin as is violence, arson, looting, stealing, anarchy, and lying to incite riots. Martin Luther King Jr. accomplished so much more through non-violent protests and invoking Scripture. Yes, some police officers are racists. The idea that all are racist however, is as absurd as is saying that all white people want to hold black people down.
This country is not perfect nor is any other country on the planet. When I was a businessman, I went about solving a problem by first identifying it. The problem is too much sin and not enough God. If the people in our nation would turn to God, our problems would be gone tomorrow. God loves us all and we must love Him in order to achieve peace, harmony, and serenity. When Jesus was asked what the greatest command was, He offered the correct solution to the problem.
Matt. 22:38
Jesus declared, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself’ . . .
