I was disgusted to see Chic fil A cave to the LGBTQ in the last few days. Their foundation will no longer support the Salvation Army, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Paul Anderson’s Home for Boys and others. This was done to appease the gays and is a disgusting display of unadulterated corporate greed. They want to expand their stores into areas in places like Chicago, NYC and other godless communities that are more sympathetic to non-Christian world views, so they decide to sellout the Salvation Army and other great Christian based groups. In other words, the almighty dollar wins the day with this former Christ centered family owned business.
I texted Dan Cathy and said: “So sad to see you cave to LGBT in order to expand. What happened to your values? What’s next? Opening on Sundays? I’m praying for you brother . . . ” Truett Cathy heard I had never had a mentor but had always wanted one and even though he was way up in age and in poor health and working half days took the time to meet with me and offer his advice on many subjects, not the least of which was my walk with God. He gave me all of his books which I still have today. I know he would be keenly disappointed in his company and its policies being twisted in the interest of earning a few more dollars. I feel so bad for him and his legacy right now.
No charity exceeds the Salvation Army in doing good. They don’t ask anyone if someone is gay before they give them a meal, or some clothes, or a warm place to stay the night, they welcome anyone through their doors. I know this first-hand because some fifty years ago I often went there and they didn’t treat me like a drug addict bum, but with loving kindness. On the street the Salvation Army is fondly referred to as “The Sally Ann,” and everyone who is down and out loves that organization They are a wonderful group of people living out the words of Jesus. Concerning the FCA I’ve hosted Fellowship of Christian Athletes events at Honey Lake and that organization shapes young men and provides them with the fundamentals of what it takes to succeed in life at the most tender age as does the Paul Anderson Boy’s home. To cut them off from financing due to pressure from the gays is a stupid, stupid decision. Christians everywhere will be angry about it and the activist gays, as is typical with them, will never be satisfied and will want more and continue to hate. It is what they do! The bottom line: neither side will embrace them.
I suppose if it means they will sell a few more sandwiches the greedy corporate money grubbers will sponser a Chic fil A float in the next San Francisco gay parade. Money, money, money is that what the Cathy family lusts after? They should take a look at what embracing Godless values did to the Boy Scouts. It is on the verge of bankruptcy and will soon be history as it should be.
Makes me want to puke. If you like the Chic fil A product that much keep going there to eat. I wouldn’t go there if it was free . . . I urge you – Don’t sleep through this one and allow them a pass on this! We need to wake up and fight back.
How?
With the almighty dollars that they love. Spend them somewhere else. It seems to be the only thing that big business understands.
Romans 13:11
“And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.”
