We just celebrated what is arguably the most Holy day of the year. Christ came to bring peace, joy, and love to the world. Unfortunately, there are those among us who prefer chaos, sorrow, and hatred. Yesterday my grandchildren called to wish me Merry Christmas and the oldest was busy cooking lasagna which he proudly told me had become a family tradition. His brother and sister said it was a delicious meal that he makes from scratch and takes him four hours to cook. They were laughing and telling me what a wonderful time they were having celebrating Christmas.
Contrast that with David Brannon who was arrested Sunday night.

Deputies were dispatched to the scene and an investigation revealed Brannon allegedly threw items at a female victim, including the ham to be eaten for Christmas dinner, following an argument over which day the family should have the dinner. He was arrested as he tried to flee the scene.
One would think that families could spend this special time of the year having fun and enjoying life with each other. Christ came to change the world. If you are spending time with family try to get along, even if it is just for a few days. Christ offers great joy to all people. Enjoy your day . . .
Luke 2:10
Just then, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid! For behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people: Today in the City of David a Savior has been born to you. He is Christ the Lord! . . .
