As everyone digs into their Christmas presents today take a few moments and remember the greatest gift the world has ever known or will ever know, Jesus Christ. Remember too that our King was humble. Lavish was not in His vocabulary. Though He owned the entire world one would never have known it, he was placed in a simple manger and led a simple life.

I’ve wondered many times how Jesus would view our celebration of His birthday. I think He would enjoy the children, but wince at the materialism displayed by too many parents. I envision Him sadly shaking His head as He watched fights in department stores over discounted goods. But there are plenty of people who understand the true meaning of Christmas and whose good works know no bounds at this special time of year.
We get to choose which side of the fence we want to reside. Choose the Jesus way. The Bible declares it is more blessed to give than to receive. Remember the unfortunate among us. There are people who are cold, hungry, without a home; there are those who are sad, grieving, mourning, sick, who have nowhere to turn. If you have not already done so, be a part of making our world better and help someone this holiday season. If you truly want to honor Jesus on His birthday, I can assure you that is the best way to do it.
Merry Christmas!
Matt. 25:35
For I was hungry and you gave Me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave Me something to drink, I was a stranger and you took Me in, I was naked and you clothed Me, I was sick and you looked after Me, I was in prison and you visited Me.’ Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You something to drink? And the King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you did for Me.’ . . .
Enjoy your time with the Lord on His birthday!
