The Fix is in!
Is anyone surprised that Hillary Clinton wasn’t indicted. It shows the level of political corruption that exists and is destroying the moral fabric and the rule of law in this country.
Excuse me you defenders of Hillary, but I can read and I’ve read the statute and it is precisely worded. The FBI director said there was no intent in his refusal to recommend prosecution; however the law states that being grossly negligent constitutes a crime in its own right, no matter what the intent was.
And for the record Hillary was grossly negligent, Director Comey called it: Extremely careless – (“They were extremely careless in their handling of very sensitive, highly classified information”). If you left your child in a hot car while you went shopping and the child died because of it, there might not be any intent, but gross negligence would lead to your arrest, (unless of course you are a Clinton and have a mighty machine fueled by hundreds of millions of dollars behind you).
Ugh! Don’t you just hate to see the high and mighty get away with crimes for which ordinary people would pay dearly?
I know I do.
Like an idiot I had faith that the FBI surely would perform their job. I suppose I wanted to see Hillary end up in prison like Leona Helmsley the rich wife of multibillionaire real estate mogul Harry Helmsley. She famously said, “We don’t pay taxes. Only the ‘little people’ pay taxes” and earned a reputation as being the “Queen of Mean” for screaming obscenities at employees. Lawyer Alan Dershowitz said he once had breakfast with Leona at one of the Helmsley hotels and the waiter brought him a cup of tea with a tiny bit of water spilled on the saucer. Dershowitz says Leona grabbed the cup from him and smashed it on the floor, then demanded that the waiter get down on his hands and knees and beg for his job.”
She wasn’t so smug when she was wearing prison blues; however make no mistake having a boatload of money and high priced lawyers resulted in her serving just 19 months out of her 16 year sentence. (On August 30, Helmsley was convicted and sentenced of one count of conspiracy to defraud the United States, three counts of tax evasion, three counts of filing false personal tax returns, sixteen counts of assisting in the filing of false corporate and partnership tax returns, and ten counts of mail fraud).
So the “Queen of Mean” served her time, but Hillary and her amorous husband Bill so far have eluded consequences for their misdeeds using money, power, and influence.
So where is our comfort in the Bible concerning all of this?
In Psalm 73 Asaph divulged that he had struggled with a problem similar to what is bugging me and probably you. Asaph looked out at the world and saw that the wicked prosper! Psalm 73:3 “For I was envious of the arrogant when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.” Not only do the wicked prosper, “they increase in riches” (Psalm 73:12). God seems to bless the wicked even though they are wicked. I labor for the Lord every day and yet I do not have what this wicked man has.
In Proverbs 20:22 it states: Don’t say, “I will get even for this wrong.” Wait for the LORD to handle the matter.
In Romans 12:19: “Vengeance is mine; I will repay,” says the Lord
In 2 Thessalonians 1:6: God is just: He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you
God’s word is true, it is only through Him that we can enjoy peace. I know the Bible is telling me to sit back and relax and allow Him to handle it in His own way, but it ain’t easy! Nor is the next verse that God put on my heart this morning, but it is God’s way and not man’s way that reigns supreme and we just need to grin and bear it . . . Grrrrrrrrrr
1 Peter 3:9 it states: Finally, all of you, be like-minded and sympathetic, love as brothers, be tender-hearted and humble. Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing. For, “Whoever would love life and see good days must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from deceitful speech . . .
