This morning I saw the press account on the Donald Trump event in NYC that I attended yesterday and it only further confirmed how they distort the truth. Over 1000 leaders attended what was originally going to amount to a couple of hundred people.
About every evangelical and faith based social conservative leader in the country attended, including Franklin Graham, Jerry Falwell’s son, James Dobson, Gary Bauer, Sammy Rodriguez, James Robison, Ralph Reed, E.W. Jackson, Mike Huckabee, and so on. Mega pastors were there and even some smaller church leaders. Together they represented millions of evangelical voters.
I was very fortunate to be seated in the VIP section right in the middle on the “50 yard line”. I was very impressed with Mr. Trump; he was as humble as I’ve ever seen him and he spoke intelligently and articulately to the issues. It is amazing how different one’s perspective of him is when he sits down for several hours and calmly explains his positions as opposed to the picture the press and others paint of him, or snapshots of him being attacked and reacting.
He is not anything like the person the press makes him out to be.
The state of the press is disconcerting to say the least. I was talking to my good friend former majority leader in the House Tom Delay about it at the meeting. His life was ruined by the press and he has seen it first-hand. He told me that at some point they are going to have to be held accountable for the lies they produce.
I told him not to hold his breath and personally I don’t see that happening. The reality is that people see stuff on the news and they believe it. The press hates Republicans and conservatives and they particularly hate Donald Trump. They distort everything he says and pump out a steady dose of vitriol daily and those who watch it believe it.
I believe that the media combined with Arts and entertainment are the most powerful tools in Satan’s arsenal. The vast majority of our population has been brainwashed and the press, like the Pied Piper, is leading the way to the death of this nation.
Unfortunately I did not get an opportunity to sit one on one with the Donald. He was swamped and met with bigger fish in the pond. Security was extremely tight and the secret service delayed the event numerous times due to threats. Homosexuals were demonstrating outside because he was meeting with conservative Christians, and later in the day some idiot tried to assassinate him in Las Vegas. He must really love his country to subject himself to all of this.
Franklin Graham spoke to the issue of Trump not leading a stellar life free from sin. He mentioned Abraham telling a lie, Moses disobeying God, David committing adultery and murder, the disciples denying Jesus with Peter denying Him three times, and he said that he, Franklin Graham was a sinner, He then said we are no different than Donald Trump or any other human being. We all sin and only Jesus Christ was perfect.
One of my friends who ran the PAC for Ted Cruz was not enamored by Trump and was not complimentary of his past life. I told him that God forgives sin and people change. I changed and so can “The Donald”.
I hope that you not only vote for Trump but try to influence others to do the same. If Hillary gets elected, her 3-5 Supreme Court Justice nominees will all but assure that abortion will be the norm, religious liberty will be well on its way out, along with gun ownership.
We can count on the press to applaud her every move. It reminds me of their father . . .
