I want to thank those of you who prayed for my trip to California last week. I received notice from the event organizer that there were more than twice as many decisions made for Christ and cards filled out at this event as had ever been made in the 22 year history of the Government Leader’s Prayer Breakfast of Orange County hosted by CBMC. It was truly the result of prayer and the work of the Holy Spirit. I spoke with several people after the event that had tears streaming down their faces because the Spirit had convicted them of their sins and delivered them from every last one of them.
Thank you Jesus!
I also had a productive business forum lunch meeting with some business owners where I was questioned for a couple of hours about running a faith based business. Considering the uber-liberal anti-church environment that California has to offer. they will need much prayer in order to stay strong enough to battle the demonic anti-God forces that dominate that region.
Speaking of demonic warfare I met with a beautiful young lady who lives in the hillsides near the beaches close to Hollywood. She has built the largest female owned defense contractor business in the United States. She’s a Christian from Lebanon and her classified mission to wage war against the ISIS social media propaganda in the Middle East is very dangerous, but her strong faith in the Lord leaves her courageous and she accepts that she has been targeted by these butchers for death. She reaches over 300 million Muslims a month with her network and wants to make her talents and extensive media contacts and network available for the Jesus Alliance messaging campaign for Christ throughout the Middle East.
Unfortunately she is a target of demonic attack. Her personal life has been left a shambles and she faces litigation from every turn. It is spiritual warfare at its worst that is being waged against her and powerful demonic rulers in high places are trying to silence her at every turn. So this courageous little lady faces trouble everywhere she goes. She seemed almost overwhelmed by the awesome responsibility that God has given her and the unrelenting ruthless attacks of spiritual dark forces.
My movie maker friend and I prayed extensively for her during our meeting (and I ask you to do the same). After I got home yesterday she sent me an e-mail that read in part:
“Dear Bob – Thank you for your encouragement and prayers yesterday. (God sent!) It was wonderful to meet you and I look forward to seeing what The Lord has planned for all of us and how we can serve him. Praying for a breakthrough. It has been relentless warfare and too much pain for many years now. I continue to trust Him and dance in the storms! God is faithful. Be Blessed.”
I have another friend who “dances in the storms”, (Pastor Daniel), from Ghana Africa. He’s coming to visit me today. I smile every time he leaves a voice mail and I hear him say: “Apostle Willy – This is Pastor Daniel with the Jesus Alliance – Ghana Africa”. At last count he only had four other pastors as members of his Ghana Africa Jesus Alliance group, but nonetheless he is exceedingly proud of his accomplishments to date and though small in numbers they are powerful in prayer.
My friends, people all over the world are praying and spending each and every day of their lives serving their Lord. It often comes at great cost. My wife and I have experienced it first hand and she is currently awaiting the results of a test that will determine if she has to endure chemotherapy for 12 weeks or a full year. It would be impossible to face such trials and satanic attack alone; however our faith in our Savior allows us to continue to “dance in the storms”. I will admit that my dance in the storms looks more like a stiff legged arthritic limp, but like Pastor Daniel and his four member Jesus Alliance – Ghana Africa team I’m smiling at my good fortune for the blessings that I have and will have for eternity and my faith in Christ just increases day after day. Keep the faith and do something for the Lord TODAY! And thank Him when He blesses you.
Psalm 30:8
I cried out to you, Lord. I begged my Lord for mercy: “What is to be gained by my spilled blood, by my going down into the pit? Does dust thank you? Does it proclaim your faithfulness? Lord, listen and have mercy on me! Lord, be my helper!” You changed my mourning into dancing. You took off my funeral clothes and dressed me up in joy so that my whole being might sing praises to you and never stop. Lord, my God, I will give thanks to you forever.
