I have pondered what my mission in life is for some time now. Have you ever seriously taken some time and thought about what God wants you to accomplish in life? The Bible teaches that we were all created as part of God’s plan and that He has a purpose for each of us. If you believe in the infallible truth of God’s word, then you believe that God has a mission for each of us, including you and me, and he wants us to accomplish it in this life. Sadly, not all of us accomplish God’s mission, and I think many times it is because we get too hung up on trying to achieve our personal goals, instead of God’s goals for our lives.
A friend of mine was telling me the other day that I had a powerful testimony. He is right, I have had an amazing life. I have been three feet below the bottom of the barrel, miraculously overcame it, and rose to the pinnacle of success as recognized by society. Was all that has happened to me an accident? Was God’s purpose just to save “me” from Hell? Or was He carefully grooming me in order that, through my personal testimony, I might provide hope to others who are snared in the same quagmire that I was snared in?
I think the latter. I have renewed my effort to find God’s mission for my life and more importantly, to carry it out; not “my” mission, but “God’s” mission for my life. How about you? One look at your goals will answer that question for you. How many of your goals pertain to God? How many pertain to you? God put you on this earth for “His” purpose, hopefully, when you die He will look down at you and say, “Job well done” . . . I suggest that you pray about God’s will for your life. We need to understand that satan wants the exact opposite for us. He wants us to fail and he will tempt us with everything in his powerful arsenal to prevent us from leading others to the Lord. The Good news is that nothing can defeat God. Pray that you can accomplish your mission and work towards it every day!

into temptation. The spirit indeed is
willing, but the flesh is weak.
