So let’s review some breaking news this morning:
Napa Valley got hit by a 6.0 earthquake over the weekend. Estimates of damage should amount to about a billion dollars. Leave it to insurance companies to avoid covering that damage, because very little of it is covered.
It looks like all those business owners whose property was destroyed and were looted by the thugs in Ferguson MO weren’t covered by insurance either due to a “civil disobedience” exclusion in their insurance policies. Most will decline opening their doors again.
As of this morning we are flying drones over Syria which likely means we will be reengaging in war against ISSA and others. It’s hard to tell which of the groups will be joining us, because they all hate Americans.
Russian troops are invading Ukraine with a procession of armored vehicles including tanks.
The tropical storm Cristobal located in the Atlantic is now a hurricane. Another cat 4 hurricane, (Marie) is in the Pacific and heading for Mexico.
The uber-violent gruesome TV series Breaking Bad that was about a chemistry teacher-turned-drug lord who made powerful methamphetamine called “Blue” and created a fortune selling it concluded its last year as one of the most-lauded TV series of all time. It won 6 Emmys
Gaza is firing rockets into Israel – Israel is bombing Gaza
Big surprise here, the missing e-mails of IRS boss Lois Lerner aren’t really missing after all. The administration just refuses to give them to Congress.

Does any of this have a familiar ring?
The Islamic world is aflame with revolt and upheaval; earthquakes are increasing in frequency and intensity; super storms are ravaging the planet; violence, corruption, and blood lust is increasing. This is the same stuff Jesus was saying 2000 years ago . . .
Ah… but according to the bible true believers are not to be depressed and/or frightened. The Bible predicts that all of this will happen and unfold exactly as it is. It says there will be no peace in Israel or on Earth until Jesus our Messiah returns. I don’t know about you, but I want to board that train when He comes for us.
It is comforting to know that the only unpardonable sin is to reject Jesus Christ who stepped forth from eternity (not to condemn the sinner), but to save the sinner from the torment of Hell and who willingly and lovingly shed His blood on the Cross so we can be washed clean of all our sins.
The Kingdom of Heaven is available to every man, woman, boy, and girl in this world, no matter who they are, where they live, or what they’ve done. It is freely offered to any and all who will receive it; however the Bible plainly warns that there will be no peace in our lives until we make peace with God through His Son, Jesus. That peace involves more than just acknowledging that Jesus is the Son of God or that He died for our sins and was resurrected. Even the demons in hell know that and tremble. No we must acknowledge who He is, ask for forgiveness, choose to follow Him and turn from our former sinful ways, (repent), as best we know how.
The Bible is full of End Times prophecies. It compares the evil that will begin to take over our planet as the precursor to the Great Tribulation as being similar to a woman having birth pangs. Birthing begins when a mother’s water breaks and then the pains begin. Usually at first they are spaced out, and as time moves on they get closer and closer together and the pain increases in intensity.
All I have to say about that is: Look out mama the water’s done broke and this baby
is on the way . . . I do wish to make the point that the Bible is exceedingly clear that no one knows the exact time the Lord will return, but Jesus said that we would know that it is drawing nigh by “the signs of the times” and then He enumerated them for us.
Based on my Bible study and in particular prophecy, it is my belief that the world is experiencing those pains now, and the countdown has already begun. It might be a quick birth or it may drag on for years, (a thousand years is like a day to the Lord), but surely He is coming and many including me believe that He is coming quickly. So be watchful and on guard for our adversary the devil walks around like a roaring lion seeking to tear apart and devour every last one he can sink his rotten putrid teeth into.

When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be frightened; those things must take place; but that is not yet the end. “For nation will rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; there will be earthquakes in various places; there will also be famines. These things are merely the beginning of birth pangs. “But be on your guard; for they will deliver you to the courts, and you will be flogged in the synagogues, and you will stand before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them.
