Sir – God has instructed me via His Holy Bible to love you, and to be candid it is one of the most difficult things I’ve ever tried to do. You, members of your administration, and fellow likeminded leaders & followers represent the exact opposite of nearly everything that I hold to be sacred, noble, and good. With reckless abandon you have pursued, and continue to pursue, a course of action that my God in His Holy Bible defines as pure evil.
This country believes that marriage should be between a man and a woman, but you insist that it be between men and/or women. The CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention which you control) reported Tuesday in the first large-scale government survey measuring Americans’ sexual orientation that less than 3 percent of the U.S. population identify themselves as gay, lesbian or bisexual.
According to numerous other surveys conducted by them and others, those who follow this lifestyle leads to much shorter lives, more anxiety, incurable diseases including HIV and other STD’s (at a rate of 150 times normal), and higher suicide rates. The government that you currently lead has not responded to the risk of HIV/STD infection and other dangers to homosexuals in the same way it has responded to the risk of lung cancer to smokers of tobacco. Instead of discouraging male homosexual behavior like it discourages smoking tobacco; the government has promoted homosexuality as a healthy alternative to heterosexuality.
Don’t you have any compassion for these citizens who are trapped in this sin? I don’t understand why you would promote such a self-destructive lifestyle as being normal or acceptable when it does so much damage to those who engage in it.
Likewise you openly advocate a war on unborn babies via abortion. My God tells me it amounts to murder. You say mothers have the right to choose, but what about the babies’ right to choose life? Who speaks for them? We don’t allow people to “choose” to end other people’s lives in this society. What are you thinking?
If that were not bad enough, you insist that my tax dollars should be used to pay for this abomination to the Lord. Don’t you understand that this is unconscionable to me? It goes against and ignores my religious belief system and spiritual conscience. If I balk at paying for something that I believe amounts to the murder of babies, you direct your Attorney General Eric Holder to sue me. The constitution guarantees me religious freedom. Why do you think it should be ignored?
You have publically stated that your definition of sin is to refrain from doing anything that goes against your own moral compass. Thus you have set yourself up as a “god of narcissism” and define sin entirely on your own. Sir the true God defines sin in His Holy Bible along with its consequences; I pray that you will read it.
I hope you see how difficult a dilemma I face in trying to love you. As I prayed about this today, I came to understand that while I don’t engage in the same sins as you, I too am a sinner; in fact we all are sinners. Just because we are all guilty of sin however, does not condone your behavior or mine. All sin is abhorrent to God. Fortunately for all of us Jesus Christ came to die for ALL sinners including you and me.
Now that I have accepted His sacrifice for my sins I am commanded to emulate Him and loving you is part of that equation. Thus I am trying my utmost to witness to you. You see God is first and foremost in my life. He has directed me to pray for you, the members of your administration, and likeminded leaders, and followers who adhere to your belief system. I must tell you though I intend to “pray while I’m walking”. By that I mean I intend to work hard against your agenda and use the tools God has given me to change the world that you are helping to destroy.
The ministry of Jesus only lasted three years and he did not have any success in changing the culture of the time; however He changed the world. The Apostle Paul did the same in preaching the Gospel to the Gentiles. He did not change the Roman culture but he brought the good news of Christ’s salvation to untold generations.
Thus I’m convinced that the real power to change the world does not lie in changing world systems and culture, but in preaching the Gospel and discipling every nation. I look at prayer combined with the work towards changing the culture of evil that is attempting to destroy the family, religious liberty, and freedom as preparing the soil in preparation for planting the seeds of revival through the Gospel that God’s people will plant in this great country and around the world.
The Bible tells us that we will always have evil leaders and people in this world. It does however foretell a great revival and we are in the early stages of it now. You sir should prepare yourself for a Great Awakening in this country whereby those of us in the vast majority will arise to the call of the Lord to preach the powerful Gospel of God almighty and disciple the nations. God will convict those who are willing of their sins and many will repent and call upon the name of the Lord and be saved and then at a time of God’s choosing the end will come.
I pray that you and the others will be among them. Until then I will be like Nehemiah; I will ask God to forgive me, my family and my nation of our grievous sins and in particular the 58 million babies that have been slaughtered. I will seek God’s wisdom to rebuild God’s protective wall that surrounds those who are willing to turn from their sins and follow Him and make no mistake I will take action to rebuild it. Thus I will pray while I’m walking towards being a part of fulfilling God’s Great Commission.
