I am constantly blown away by the powerful reach of God. I got up frighteningly early this morning to get a jump start on my day and was greeted by an e-mail that moved me beyond the pale.
A lady whom I’ve never met wrote in part: “Your passion for Jesus and the destiny of our country was shared with me by a friend who attended a meeting you held in March. I work with a young child prodigy by the name of Akiane (ahh-key-anna). Her painting of Jesus, titled “Prince of Peace”, is featured in both the book and movie “Heaven is for Real”. Perhaps you are Familiar with her story . . .
My purpose in sending you this email is twofold: First . . . to thank you for stepping up to spearhead organizing a grassroots movement that may be destined to “Fundamentally Change America!” and secondly, to offer assistance as led by the Holy Spirit.
A few hours ago the Lord put on my heart to share this with you – verbatim: “There is Hope for Change – His Name is Jesus”

We got nearly 1000 likes in in a few hours! It seems that the silent and moral majority is restless and being stirred . . . I’m believing that is the work of the Holy Spirit exclamation!
Also, these 4 Scriptures have been reoccurring for months and may be relevant as well.
If you love me feed my sheep – John 21:17
A house divided against itself cannot stand – Mark 3:25
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge – Hosea 4:6
If my people who are called by my name – 2 Chronicles 7:14
Hmmm . . . What my readers need to understand is that I’ve been meeting fierce resistance almost every day on a number of fronts. I was so exhausted when I got home from my recent trip that I didn’t even want to eat dinner and could barely make it into my bedroom. I discussed it with my wife the next morning and told her that I thought maybe I was getting too old to work so hard anymore, or maybe my Hepatitis C was becoming active after so many years of being in remission and that is why I was so weary. She is familiar with many of the spiritual battles being waged against the Renewal of America effort and wondered if it was simply stress from near constant spiritual warfare.
I think maybe the latter and I can tell you unequivocally that this lady’s letter today helped refresh me. I wrote back to her:
“The verses that you listed are like a refreshing spring and a cool breeze on a hot day. They come directly from God and are so appropriate. I love Him; you love Him; as do countless others across this beautiful little blue marble suspended in His incomprehensible heavens. Most importantly He loves us. Sometimes I get tired but then He sends someone like you to encourage me to fight on; it lifts me high like the eagle mentioned in Isaiah. Spiritual warfare is real and satan is working overtime to stop our movement dead in its tracks, but I’m determined to keep the faith and you have helped in that regard this day. Again thank you for the encouraging verses this morning.”
As if God wanted to emphasize His point that He is in this fight too and in fact leading it, I also received this encouraging letter from my dear friend Walt Wilson, Founder and Chairman of Global Media Outreach who wrote of successes they enjoyed just yesterday: “We continue our assault on the 10-40 Window and the Muslim world which continues to be very responsive to the Gospel. Our global data for the day shows us running at 25k per hour, with a 10.3% indicated decision rate. We’ll reach well over one million people before this day is over. The US is running a 9.6% indicated decision rate.”
Can you imagine over 1 million people hearing the Gospel each day, many of whom are living in countries where they will be beheaded if caught reading God’s word. Over 100,000 decisions for Christ being made every day!
Just think about the impact some among us are having on this planet for God’s kingdom. My friend Walt has had a fatwa issued against him; that means a Muslim cleric has put out a contract on his life. Walt has put it all on the line for His Savior.
Now stop for a moment and honestly ask yourself, “What am I doing for the Lord in this war?”
Kindly consider that God will ask a similar question one day when you kneel before Him. Will your answer be that you were too busy with your career, soccer games, golf, the beach, saving for that new car or home?
Satan puts all of those things in our heads as pleasant alternatives to engaging in spiritual warfare with him. Don’t allow him to win that battle with you.
I would say that yes spiritual warfare exists, but God is the winner; I know this because I have read the last chapter of the Bible. Join us in this fight! Pray, give of your resources both time and money, and join the battle. In the world the light of our temporal day is fading and soon darkness will come to all who follow the world’s seemingly easy path; The reverse is true with Jesus Christ and those who choose to follow Him. A great reward awaits the faithful. Don’t miss out on it.
1 John 2:8
Yet it is also new. Jesus lived the truth of this commandment, and you also are living it. For the darkness is disappearing, and the true light is already shining.
