I have always been competitive. I hate to lose and it is very depressing when I do. I believe I was born with this trait because as far back as I can remember I have always been like that. I do believe that my competitiveness has helped me more than hurt me through the years, but sometimes it seems almost like an obsession of having to win; that is one reason I do not like golf, I cannot always (ever) win.

I was thinking about this the other day and wondered what the Bible stated about it. Simply put, the Bible states that if we run a race, we should run it as though we may win. Of course God wants us to go after a non-perishable crown and not the perishable prizes of the world. In other words we should choose our races carefully, and then run like the wind to take home first prize.

Do not run with uncertainty, but with discipline and determination to win. Think about this today as you fight and claw your way through all of the snares of this world to achieve greatness Are you running in the correct race? Then run Forrest run!

1 Cor.9:24
Do you know that those who
run in a race all run, but one receives
the prize? Run in such a way that
you may obtain it.
