I saw a sign on a church the other day that read: “Fishers of men wanted
– You catch ’em and we’ll clean ’em”. Jesus told Peter and Andrew who happened to be fishermen, to follow Him and He would make them fishers of men. Later He came upon James and John sitting in their boat repairing nets and He told them to follow Him as well. We should learn from this example and follow Jesus and become fishers of men. The Bible plainly states that a Christian should want to spread the good news of Christ to others. By so doing we become fishers of men, women and children for the Lord. I always enjoyed fishing but hated having to clean them. Jesus does this difficult messy task and we get the fun part. On top of that He pays us eternal wages for this easy work. The best thing about it is we can go fishing every day virtually anytime we get ready. The task is easy, and the reward is great. Why not start today?

Matt. 4:35
….Behold, I say to you, lift up
your eyes and look at the fields,
for they are already white for
harvest!
And he who reaps receives
wages, and gathers fruit for eternal
life, that both he who sows and he
who reaps may rejoice together.
