One of the hardest things for human logic to grasp is the concept of either going to heaven or hell. Would a loving and kind God really send someone to hell who had not accepted Jesus as their Savior? If you use the Bible as the foundation of your belief system as I do, the answer to that question is yes. If one does not have the blood of Jesus to atone for their sins, they will be eternally banned from God’s presence and be sent to a place the Bible refers to as hell, which by the way is described as a place of darkness, suffering, loneliness, torment, an eternal lake of fire and brimstone where there will be “weeping and gnashing of teeth” for eternity. Jesus described Hell and talked of the danger of going to Hell more than any other person in the Bible and He made it crystal clear that no one would enter heaven except through Him.
Either you believe He is a liar or you believe He is God and telling the truth. Any objective person who reads the New Testament will come away with the firm understanding that Jesus is the only way we can enter into heaven. That is exactly what Jesus Himself said in the Bible, and I cannot imagine anyone interpreting it differently providing the Bible is used as the foundation of their belief system. It goes on to say that God cannot tolerate sin. Mankind sins and the only way those sins can be forgiven is through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ our Messiah. Now either we believe that or we do not; that is the most important question that we all will face while we are briefly on this earth…

In today’s culture this type of thinking is viewed as being radical, exclusionary and narrow minded. Indeed I saw on the news where a radio disc jockey was recently fired for espousing the view that Jesus was the only way to get to heaven. They did not want to be exclusionary to other religions and offend the Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus or what have you, so they fired this guy for stating what the Bible clearly states. Personally it is not that hard for me to grasp this concept.
God’s love was so great that He offered His own Son for us in order that we might be reconciled with Him forever. Those who spurn this gift from God have been warned as to the consequences of it. I can easily see where God would deal harshly with someone who willfully defies Him by rejecting and spitting in the face of the ultimate sacrifice and crucifixion of His Son on the cross for their sins.

What about those who have never heard of Jesus? What will come of them?
Hmmmm….the Bible states that without the blood of Jesus covering our sins we cannot enter into heaven. One exception spelled out in the Bible is children who die before they reach the age of accountability.
Is there another exception for those who never heard of Jesus Christ? I have read the Bible numerous times and have never found anything that addresses this subject. Why did God leave it out? Hmmmm…I do not know. We are instructed to evangelize the world, but from where we sit it looks as if that has not occurred yet. What about those who live their entire life and never hear about Jesus? Can these people enter into heaven any other way except through Jesus?

My personal belief is that God is good all of the time. He does not want any to perish and He has demonstrated that as none other could demonstrate. If you believe that God is good and loves every single one of us, then one must believe that God will deal with these situations righteously. God is our judge and will righteously mete out His judgment to everyone who ever lived. I trust that He will judge with supreme perfection and it will far surpass the frail and flawed human logic that is used by us to anticipate how He will righteously deal with what we might view as a difficult challenge. Will He treat those who never heard of Jesus as children who have not reached the age of accountability, or will their sins with no atoning grace from Jesus condemn them to hell just as someone who has heard the plan of salvation numerous times throughout their life and rejected it? To be honest, I do not know, but I do know that God loves us and in His perfection He will weigh their hearts and make the correct and perfect choice. I do not doubt God for a minute. Now the 9th circuit court in San Francisco is an entirely different matter…

You have heard the salvation plan. If you have not accepted Jesus as your Savior, you are in mortal danger of eternal damnation and suffering. There is no doubt about it! Ask Jesus to come into your heart today and then go to church this Sunday and reinforce it by getting Baptized and joining a wonderful church home!

Proverbs 24:12

If you say, “Surely we did not

know this,”

Does not He who weighs the

hearts consider it?

He who keeps your soul,

does He not know it?

And will He not render to each

man according to his deeds?
