I am sickened daily by the news of terrorists and other evildoers who seem to be gaining momentum. The Bible however makes it clear that their days are numbered and it is just a matter of time until they will be no more. It is hard to imagine a world without evildoers, yet that is what God offers. If any one thing should convince non-Christians that it is worth it to take a harder look at what God has to offer in these troubled times, it might be this. I was studying my Bible this morning and researching how God offers rest. Rest equates to peace and it is difficult to find and enjoy peace in our world with the increase of evil and the abundance of evildoers.

The Bible does make it clear that this is a temporary situation and God watches over the righteous. According to the Bible we are God’s most important and valuable possesion. It is senseless to worry when we understand this concept. He is not only going to watch over us, but He is going to guard us and take care of us for the rest of eternity. We should just keep the faith, be patient, and persevere for soon we will enjoy true peace for eternity. Worry should be a thing of the past to the strong Christian believer.

Psalm 37:9
For evildoers shall be cut off;
But those who wait on the Lord,
They shall inherit the earth.
For yet a little while
and the wicked shall be no
more;
Indeed you will look carefully
for his place,
But it shall be no more.
For the meek shall inherit the
earth,
And shall delight themselves
in the abundance of peace.

How well do you know the Bible?
What does the first Proverb pertain to?
Proverbs 1:2
