My wife took a nasty fall the other day. I had to call 911 and the paramedics came and took her away to the hospital. One minute we were laughing and talking and the next minute she was covered in blood and on her way to the hospital. Our lives can completely change in a heartbeat. The Bible teaches that one day the Lord will return “as a thief in the night”. No one ever expects a thief and the comparison one can draw is that it will occur at a time when the world least expects it. People will be going about their lives laughing and talking, getting married, attending parties, working, and playing and suddenly the Lord Jesus will appear in the sky to take all Christians out of the world, and it will all happen in a “twinkling of an eye”.
Jesus told us to always be ready. For those who are not ready and are not taken away by Jesus during the Rapture of His children, it will be all but impossible to accept the Lord. Most Christians are horrified by the evil that is currently in the world. Just imagine for a moment that “ALL” Christians are gone in an instant. What would hold evil back?
How hard will it be to be a Christian during these final wicked days?
One description of the mayhem that will occur is that blood will run as high as a horse’s neck. Another is that people will try to commit suicide in order to avoid the carnage, but will not be able to do so.
No one knows the exact time all of this will occur. The Bible tells us that we will know that it is near when certain things occur. My understanding of the Bible is that the events that were mentioned such as the Jews returning to their homeland, armies encircling Jerusalem, wars and rumors of wars, etc. has already occurred and Jesus could return and Rapture His saints at any moment. Whether the Rapture occurs in our lifetimes or not, we all are just a heartbeat away from having a face to face meeting with our Creator. I hope that all who read this are prepared for that meeting and are covered in the protective precious blood of our Savior, Jesus Christ…
Luke 21:34
But take heed to yourselves
lest your hearts be weighed down
with carousing, drunkenness, and
cares of this life, and that Day come
on you unexpectedly.
For it will come as a snare on
all those who dwell on the face of the
whole earth.
Watch therefore, and pray always
that you may be counted
worthy to escape all these things that
will come to pass, and to stand
before the Son of Man.
How well do you know the Bible?
Jesus told a parable about a woman who lost a coin. What is the meaning of this parable/
