The Bible is very clear as to who its author is. God is the author of the Holy Bible. All scripture was given by inspiration of God ( 2 Tim 3:16). Those who espouse that the Bible was put together by a number of men over a number of years and leave it there mislead themselves and others. Those who compiled the books of the Bible were simply acting as instruments of God and were literally inspired by God to accurately present His word to the world. The Bible is said to be living and powerful, sharper than any two edged sword. It is Gods primary means of directly communicating with us. The Bible states that God opens our understanding of the Bible. The more we study it, the more He reveals to us. I have personally experienced this just as millions of other believers have through the centuries. The Bible has answers for ALL of our needs.

Then why for heavens sake dont more people read it every day? Our awesome creator wants to communicate directly with us and share His formula for our eternal success, and yet the world is more interested in sitting on a couch with their mouths hanging open watching the grand finale of Friends. Make time for God and you will be forever glad that you did so. Learn the Bible and stay away from those who teach contrary to it. The only way you can be sure as to what the Bible says is to read it yourself. Stay away from other religious books. There are those who have their own religious books, yet the Bible is clear that nothing should be neither added, nor taken away form the Holy Bible. I would recommend staying away from such doctrine, and if you think God is not serious about it, read below.

Rev. 21:18

For I testify to everyone who

hears the words of the prophecy of

this book: If anyone adds to these

things, God will add to him the

plagues that are written in this book;

and if anyone takes away from

the words of the book of this prophecy,

God shall take away his part

from the Book of Life, from the holy

city, and from the things which are

written in this book.
