Racism

Most all of humanity would logically like to see racism eliminated from our own lives and the entire world. Logic does not prevail however and racism does. Do you think of a racist as a southern white guy wearing a tank top adorned with a confederate flag? Think again, there are just as many confederate flags, (if not more), in the northern states. Racists are not confined to guys either. There are female racists too. Wait a minute there are at least as many racist blacks to go around too; we cannot forget the Black Panthers originated in California too. Now just hold on since we are talking about the West, what about cowboys hating American Indians in the West? And vice versa? What about Hispanics disliking African Americans in the inner city? What about whites and blacks disliking immigrant Hispanics and Asians for taking their jobs and welfare money in California? What about Whites, Blacks, Haitians and Cubans in Florida? What about the Jews thinking of all Gentiles as dogs and sub-species? What about Gentiles hating Jews? What about warm blooded Americans disliking the French? Whoa, wait a minute the French dislike Americans and that is what started it. Well what about the Germans and Russians, Americans dislike them now too? Yeah and vice versa on that one too. In Iraq the Sunnis and the Shiites hate each other? What about Muslims hating infidels? Any thinking infidel naturally wants to hate a Muslim back for hating them. Taiwan and Mainland China anybody? Does Africa the land of eternal warring tribes ring a bell with anyone?



I could continue, but the list is too long. Lots of people hate each other out there. It is hard to believe but there are plenty of people out there who would like to see you dead just because you are different than them. One of my goals this year is to become more tolerant. I have been talking this over with both my sons for some time. Gods plan is for all of us to love Him with all that we have and to love each other as His second greatest command. If we obeyed these two commands, the problems of the world would all be instantly resolved; remember Jesus stated in the Bible that all of the laws of the prophets hang on these two greatest commands. Alas Im afraid we will not see it happen in this world until Jesus returns. We can however enjoy a better life for ourselves if we can personally obey God and work towards eliminating all racism and prejudice against anyone or any group from our own lives and thinking. We should do unto others as we would have them do unto us. Easy to say, but sometimes hard to do…Why is it hard? Because of satan who burns with jealousy and hatred because God loves us and has eternally barred him from his glorious presence. Satan has been given tremendous supernatural power over the world and he works tirelessly 24/7 to stir up hate, resentment, strife and chaos…Know your real enemy and combat him through the word of God. The word of God is truth and the truth shall set you free!



John 8:34

… If you abide in
