Today is the last day of the year. Ive been up since 2:30 AM trying to finalize Horizons corporate goals as well as my personal goals, but aside from this last minute stab at tying up loose ends, essentially it is too late to accomplish much more this year. Soon I will knock off for the year and watch some football. I think of my accomplishments for 2003 and I feel that pretty good progress was made on all fronts. More could have been done, but I have had far worse years.
How about you? Did you meet your spiritual goals? What about your health? Do you weigh in at your desired weight? Can you run two miles without breaking much of a sweat? How about friends? Do you have any? Did your career opportunity increase or diminish last year? Questions like this will keep us from dwelling too long on reviewing our accomplishments and push us right into the pursuit of excellence and obtaining new goals. I hope you are goal oriented, as it stimulating and exciting to set, diligently work on them and finally to achieve them.
God has a plan and you and I fit right in to it. The New Year is before us. Dont look back but look forward. Remember all things are possible to those who love the Lord…Happy New Year everyone thank you for following Words for the Day last year…
Phil. 4:4
Rejoice in the Lord always,
Again I will say rejoice!
How well do you know the Bible?
We can do all things through:
Prayer
Holy Spirits intercessory praying for us
Popes blessing us
Killing a chicken and sprinkling his blood on an alter
Jesus Christ who strengthens us
Phil.4:13
