Stand fast

Recently I was disgusted by President Bush. Normally I am a staunch Republican, but this was too much. A fine General in the Armed Forces made the mistake of speaking to a church gathering and his remarks offended some Muslims. Predictably, the speech police in the liberal media immediately jumped all over him and instead of standing up for the mans right to free speech on his personal time, Bush caved in. Our illustrious President also celebrated Ramadan, a Muslim holiday, at the White House. Pastor Jerry Vines mused what would happen if Bush had celebrated the Lords Supper at the White house. I can answer that, the speech police would have raised the roof right off the White House and it would have been a campaign issue for the rest of the year. Im disappointed that Bush, a professed Christian, did not stand up for free speech and for Christians. Christians are fast becoming a remnant in this country. Free speech only applies to elitists. The secular forces are taking control of everything and too many of us including George W. are standing by hopeful that these liberal, politically correct elitists will not turn their ire on us.



Recently I went to a sales presentation wearing a cross on my lapel. I like to wear them because they remind me throughout the day of what Christ endured in order that I might be saved and one day reunited with Him. One of the sales people with me questioned whether it was appropriate to wear a cross to a sales presentation or not. I said emphatically, Yes, it is appropriate. I founded this company on Christian principles and the Lord was with me. He blessed it mightily and made it grow. He gave me strength and the necessary wisdom to manage it through some tough spots. If it were not for the Lord we would not even have a company. How can I turn my back on the one who made everything possible? I am proud to be a Christian and I am unafraid to stand up and be counted as one. I sincerely believe with all of my heart that my tremendous faith in God is why we are successful today; it certainly is not my or others in this company business acumen. The same is true with our country. The Lord blessed this great country as none in the history of the world because it was founded as, One nation under God, and because we put, In God we trust, on our currency. Our founding Fathers were not afraid to pray in public and they were smart enough to realize that if the Lord is with them, nothing can defeat them. Now the mindless majority is turning their backs on Christ and we are beginning to see our great countrys demise. It is time for the silent minority Christians to stand up and be counted. Dont cower in the closet hoping no one will think you are a Christian trying to be politically correct. Stand up for Jesus He died for you and me. God has promised us that He will be with us even until the end of time; we need to be with Him while our little vapor of a life is yet visible.
