Tribulation is not going away

The Bible tells us that tribulation is as much a part of life as everything else. It is not going away; however neither is Jesus Christ.
Jesus offers peace in a non-peaceful world. It is easy to rest in the Lord, all you have to do is surrender your life to Him and let Him take it from there. The world is racing towards its fiery end, and we are being swept along with it. We cannot predict the exact hour of out deaths, but life is fragile and it is short. Don’t wait too long to make your peace with Jesus. Even if you are young and in perfect health, a drunk driver could take you out tonight.

Aside from the most important resolution of our eternal abode, it is nice to have peace in the middle of the storms of life. I honestly do not think I could have withstood the pressure of tremendous tribulation during times in my life, if it were not for God’s gentle hand on my life and soul. I watched the parents of the kidnapped girl in Salt Lake on Larry King last night as they recounted the horror of not knowing the fate of their little girl. Larry asked if they had lost their faith in God during this nightmare. They responded quite the contrary, in fact God was the only way they were able to get through this ordeal. It is hard for a non-Christian to understand the feeling of love that God gives us and the feeling of peace even during the toughest of times. He is right there with us, every step of the way, through the good and the bad. It is ours for the asking. Jesus is the way…the only way!

John 16:33
“These things I have spoken to
you, that in Me you may have
peace. In the world you will have
tribulation; but be of good cheer,
I have overcome the world.”
