Words to live by

I often marvel that some of my friends are so unconcerned about their future. I am what I would consider a long-term oriented person. I have goals for virtually the rest of my life on this planet. Some of my friends don’t look past the upcoming days or weeks. They go about life as if there is no end in sight. It is no small wonder that a few of them have not accepted Christ as their savior. They continue to live their lives as if they will live forever.

The Word of God of course plainly states that there is an end in sight.
It tells us to be watchful and ready to go at a moment’s notice. Are you prepared to meet a righteous and Holy God? I am. Lest you think I am boasting, I am not. I am prepared because Jesus Christ already paid the price for my sins. If you have not accepted Christ, what in the world are you waiting for? Time is running out. Without Christ the Bible plainly states that you may not enter heaven. Jesus stated that no one can enter except through Him.

Please read the Bible. It has withstood the test of time. It has served mankind from ancient times until when we have put men on the moon. The Bible clearly predicts the present day conflict in the Middle East and it predicts many foolish people will reject the only Son of God and spend eternity in Hell because of it. This world and everything in it will eventually be destroyed and God will create a new place for His children to dwell. Although heaven and earth will be destroyed the Word of God will stand forever. Pick it up and start reading it!
