Israel is a ticking bomb in more ways than one. The continuing violence has brought the area to the verge of war. Egypt is considering moving troops into the Sinai in support of the Palestinians. The brutal restaurant bombings have resulted in the Israelis cracking down harder and harder and harder and they have now even begun taking control of Palestinian offices located in East Jerusalem. Watch for them to ultimately take over and/or destroy the Dome of the Rock which also happens to be located in East Jerusalem. This mosque is the third Holiest site of the Muslims. It is located on the exact spot that they believe that the prophet Mohammed ascended to heaven. It also happens to be built in the heart of Jerusalem and located on the exact site of the Temple. According to Bilical prophecy, the temple will be rebuilt by the Jews and one day the anti-Christ will sit on a throne at this site and rule the world, (for a while). Not that long ago it seemed unthinkable that the temple site would ever be rebuilt. After all the Dome of the Rock is sitting directly on top of it. How could it be taken away from the control of the Arabs? Indeed just a visit to the Holy site, by now Prime Minister Sharon, sparked the current violence and fighting. No one could even conceive of how such a thing could ever come about; until now that is.
Today it looks more and more like the Israelis could expel all Arabs from all of Jerusalem. With each bombing more and more moderate Jewish people join the radical Orthodox Jews in calling for the expulsion of all Palestinians. Would the radical elements of this explosive region consider the destruction of the Dome of the Rock? That is a no-brainer, of course they would. What if one of this radical fringe element simply blows it up? If the Arabs are denied access to Jerusalem, what would keep the Jews from rebuilding the temple on this site? All of this is conjecture on my part, but it is interesting to ponder the situation.
What does it all mean for us? The closer we get to the rebuilding of the temple, the closer we get to the Rapture. Although the Bible clearly tells us that no one but the Father knows exactly when it will be, Jesus did tell us that we shall see signs of it coming and that we should be ready. As far as I can determine, every other Biblical prophecy has already been fulfilled except for the rebuilding of the temple. Fundamentalist Orthodox Jews are already planning its construction. Could it be that with each day’s bombing we are stepping closer to the Lord’s return for His Saints? Tick, tick, tick….
I believe so. If I am right we should work at a much faster pace to pray for and lead the lost to the Lord.

Rev.3:3
Remember therefore how you
have received and heard; hold fast
and repent. Therefore if you will
not watch, I will come upon you
as a thief, and you will not know
what hour I will come upon you.
