I knew the crazies were coming just as soon as I finished up Words for the Day yesterday and sure enough one did. This one was a Cruz fan who seemed to think I am a paid political operative for Trump.

LOL – I wish I was; I could use the money to give to the Jesus Alliance…

Just a tad of research would reveal that I’ve written WFTD five days per week for 18 years and politics is not my favorite subject; however, I do try to be led by the Spirit when writing WFTD and He has burdened my heart with Due.1:13 Choose wise and discerning and experienced men from your tribes, and I will appoint them as your heads.” I happen to feel that Trump would make a far better President than Hillary and I’m not afraid to speak out about it regardless of any consequences. And the last time I checked the 1st Amendment was still in effect.

This dude was blowing about Trump being pro-choice all of his life. Trump says he is pro-life now and has provided to one and all a list of potential conservative Supreme Court judges that he will nominate that will undoubtedly help in the war against abortion. Hillary on the other hand has vowed to expand abortion including partial birth and she will appoint judges that will without question mean more loss of innocent unborn babies’ lives. The choice between the two candidates is crystal clear.

I assume this guy thinks he has lived his entire life with exactly the same convictions that he has right at this moment. According to so many in our country who call themselves conservative Christians, no one is ever allowed to have had an opinion that has not remained the same since birth. We all should have been saved and baptized at 5 years old and lived like saints our entire lives.

In the beginning there were saints and sinners…

Ugh!

Hmmm…Does anyone in their right mind believe this? Doesn’t the Bible teach us that we become “new creatures” when we become Christians. I know that I used to carry a .357 magnum and a sawed off shotgun and did unspeakable things before I became a Christian. I didn’t care about Christ, Christians, abortion, or for that matter anyone’s life including my own, but the loving grace of Jesus Christ changed me forever.

The Apostle Paul had Christians beaten, tortured and put to death prior to meeting Jesus on the road to Damascus and becoming a new creature in Christ, born again and washed free of his sins by the precious blood of our Savior. To be sure there were many early Christians that were not willing to forgive him those transgressions. There were those who didn’t believe his transformation was real, and so forth. And yet Jesus lovingly forgave him and he went on to become the world’s foremost evangelist and wrote over 1/3 of the New Testament and changed the world forever. I hope Donald Trump eventually changes the world for Christ forever and I for one pray for him in that regard.

I know that Trump prayed the sinner’s prayer recently and accepted Christ as his Savior and I assume that like all believers many things have already changed for him and will continue to do so as he continues his walk with Jesus and makes a transition from a baby Christian to a mature one. Prior to Jesus entering his life he acted like a pagan, because he was a pagan. I wouldn’t have expected him to act like a Christian prior to being a Christian. To think otherwise would be illogical.

This guy went on to say if he were Cruz he would have hunted Trump down and whipped his A** for making crude remarks about his family. Then he said he realized that it wasn’t Christ-like behavior to do such a thing, but he would have done it anyway…

Isn’t that how hypocrites operate? Someone chastises a new brother in Christ for poor behavior exhibited when he was far from the Lord, and yet it is fine for him to say as a self-proclaimed mature Christian that he is going to physically whip up on somebody for saying bad things.

Jesus told the Pharisees who wanted to stone to death the adulteress caught in the very act, “Let he among you who is without sin cast the first stone”. No one threw a stone at her. We shouldn’t cast stones at saints or sinners either.

This guy ended his tirade by telling me I need to get on my knees and repent for saying I will vote for Trump. I suggested he get therapy.

Have a great weekend and go to Honey Lake Church, (or somewhere) this Sunday.

Luke 6:42

How can you think of saying, ‘Friend, let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye,’ when you can’t see past the log in your own eye? Hypocrite! First get rid of the log in your own eye; then you will see well enough to deal with the speck in your friend’s eye.
