Yesterday presidential candidate Marco Rubio was attacked by the left for remarks made in an interview in which he said that the way things are going we have a real and present danger of the teachings of the Christian church (which comes directly from God’s Holy Bible) being declared as hate speech in this country.

He is correct; however the media spurred on by character assassins within Media Matters immediately put out the attack dogs and his comments were distorted beyond recognition and his character maligned. Commentators declared that he made a huge mistake and it would cost him dearly. Other politicians who are watching will likely avoid talking about this issue now and just address other issues, thus giving them yet another victory.

It is called political correctness and it is established by the media which boasts a dismal 3% of their ranks who declare themselves Christians. The media is not representative of our country in demographics by any measure, and yet they influence the masses. It reminds me of North Korea.

The progressive party has succeeded in establishing a propaganda machine that is vast and pervasive. They are organized and well financed and do not hesitate to attack anyone who dares cross them on gay rights issues, abortion, the environment, or religious liberty.

I have no doubt that the attack dogs will be coming at me and others in the Jesus Alliance. Frankly my dear brethren, I don’t give a damn. I’m prepared to speak out boldly in spite of threats or whatever; (it is the attack dogs that should beware).

It disgusts me to think that we would rather not talk about parts of the gospel in fear that it might offend someone. Such tactics are cowardly and not biblical and we should not succumb to those who wish to hear what they want to hear. We need to stand up for Jesus; He was crucified for our sake and the least we can do is go “all in” to preach the gospel and disciple every nation, (without apology)!

Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “A man who does not have something for which he is willing to die is not fit to live.” The Apostle Paul declared that we should go forth boldly and preach the truth of the gospel. God said that He will honor those who honor Him and His word. As for me I put my complete trust and faith in Him who was raised from the dead and that includes my very life and eternal destiny. Join me won’t you . . .

Matt. 5:10

Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. “Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. “Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
