I’m not discouraged – I’m mad!

Several of you wrote and thought I was discouraged about the situation with the issue of declining churches in America. I’m not discouraged, I’m mad and I want to fight the demonic forces for every last soul and keep fighting “until the last dog dies”.

The Bible is very clear as to what is to take place in the Last Days; the days we are living in now. Seeing it unfold is not a source of worry or discouragement for me. In fact the Bible tells me not to worry or be discouraged because it must all happen as foretold.

We are living in an age of prophecy fulfillment and reading the Bible is akin to watching the news. Check it out tonight.

People’s hearts will grow cold, false prophets will arise and teach false doctrine from the pulpit, children will become disobedient to their parents, there will be droughts, disease, hunger, wars and rumors of wars, men and women will burn with lust for each other, earthquakes and other mighty disasters will occur, right will be called wrong and wrong will be called right, lawlessness will increase and evil will suffocate the world and many will be deceived.

Sound familiar? You can read it in the Bible, watch it on the news, read a newspaper, or follow it on Twitter or the Internet. It is happening and it is going to keep right on happening and getting worse as each day passes.

Ah but there is to be a revival and the Great Commission will be fulfilled and every person on the face of the earth will hear the Gospel. We don’t know when it will come or how long it will last, but I want to be a part of it. I am like Jesus in not wanting to see a single person perish and for all to come to the Lord and receive eternal life.

Unfortunately the Bible also tells me that will not happen. Matt. 7:14 Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. “For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.

So why bother? After all we already know the outcome.

We bother because we are commanded by Jesus to preach the Gospel and disciple every nation. We are to plant seeds; and God does the saving. The few that find it are worth the effort to me!

So no my friends I’m not discouraged at the “signs of the times”. It is no mystery and we already have been told what to expect. I eagerly await the return of the Lord, but I hope He holds off long enough to plant as many seeds as I can in order that many lost souls will find His peace, joy, and love, (maybe even from a seed that I planted).

So I appreciate all of the kind notes and thoughts. Please don’t worry about me; I am not discouraged but I do lament the fact that without churches that it will become even harder for lost souls to find Jesus than it otherwise would.

Do your part, time is rapidly running out. Jesus will surely come as soon as the last prophecy plays out and He is ready to make things right.

Matt. 24:27

For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
