One of the tactics now being employed by those who desire to force their sin upon our culture is called political correctness. It’s satanic and even the name of it is a lie which goes right along with the nature of its author, satan. Puh-leeze . . . It’s not correct to sin and it’s not incorrect to reject it, political or otherwise. This is just another example of the, “If it’s wrong it’s right, and if it’s right it’s wrong” mentality of our worsening society.

Yesterday someone wrote and sarcastically alluded to my comment in yesterday’s Words for the Day entry in which I said that it was sickening to see the spectacle at the Grammy Awards where homosexuals were getting married and pornographic acts were being performed, and foul language used in front of millions of young people on television while those who attended the Grammys cheered them on and reveled in the festivities.

After reading the post a person posted this sarcastic statement on Facebook, “Yes homosexual weddings are the worst sin, not Wall St. criminals stealing millions of other people’s money.”

I wrote back, “Sin is sin”.

I suppose in this young man’s eyes I was politically incorrect to dare to say anything about homosexual marriages; however the Bible calls homosexuality sin and that little tidbit does not originate with me. While the Bible identifies homosexuality as a sin, it also states that stealing, greed, corruption, lying, adultery, and a host of other things are sins too. I’m not making a case for which sins are the worst in the eyes of God because aside from blasphemy, the Bible doesn’t rank sin.

Sin is sin.

The Bible states that there are consequences for sin and we would lead more peaceful, joyful, and loving lives if we can avoid it. We all are sinners and therefore we cannot judge someone or condemn them or we would be self-righteous hypocrites, (which is also a sin).

That is not to say that we should just accept sin and live and let live and not speak out against it, especially when those who engage in it are trying to tell us, our children, and our grandchildren that it is acceptable to get an abortion, lead a promiscuous, adulterous, or homosexual lifestyle, lie, cheat, steal, or whatever.

No we should speak out against sin and its consequences like AIDS, divorce, broken families, prison, depression, sadness, addiction, etc. Personally I hate sin, but I love the sinner and can honestly say that I would love to see everyone on this planet discover God’s loving grace like I did. Unfortunately they don’t see it that way.

They see it as a personal attack on their person when someone condemns the sin that they love.

Many progressives and others want to label those of us who disagree with their ideology bigots. That is synonymous with extremist, dogmatist, hypocrite, racist, etc. So if the President of the United States tells a lie and you call it a lie, then you are a racist and a bigot.

Why? Because it’s politically incorrect to tell the truth?

Sadly the answer to that is yes . . . And yes you will likely be thought of as a bigot and racist for telling the truth these days.

More people are needed to speak the truth boldly without fear. There are far more who reject what is happening today than those who are for it. They are just loud and brash with a huge megaphone and some are even militant. You should see some of the hate mail I receive. I pray for them.

God loves ‘em . . . And that is what I try to do . . . though it sometimes be hard I tell you . . .

1 Cor. 13:13

And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
