Yesterday my son and I met for a couple of hours with the top consultant who headed up the Romney campaign in Florida. We wanted to offer some ideas that we have that might help him develop strategies to register more Christian voters for the next election cycle.
Our friend lamented the fact that we would have easily won the election by a landslide had more Christians simply registered to vote (and done so). Romney lost by 73,000 votes – there are approximately 1,000,000 unregistered voters in Florida who indicate that they are Christians – Obama’s team registered twice as many new voters as did the Republicans.
Sigh . . .
I wonder if these non-voting Christians watched recently as Obama served as the keynote speaker at the conference of our nation’s number one abortion provider, Planned Parenthood. He grinned from ear to ear as he arrogantly stood at the podium praising, and congratulating them for their work; (so far 63,000,000 babies have been murdered via abortion in this country and still counting).
Too, I wonder how it makes them feel as they see him and his administration push the homosexual agenda, refuse to curb the spread of violence and pornography in Hollywood and the Internet, and force Catholics and others to forego their religious beliefs and conscience.
I wonder if they feel any remorse that they did not vote or otherwise lift one damn finger to try and stop the spread of the cancerous sin that is destroying this country. Only they and God know, but if they truly are Christians it ought to have them in tears.
Yesterday I had a friend call me to chuckle about my son’s dream as recorded in yesterday’s WFTD. She’s good friends with Shaq O’Neal and his family and was laughing about it with Shaq’s mother. This lady is a spiritual warrior, a sister in Christ, and the “real deal”. She is filled with the Holy Spirit and uses all of her resources to worship God and lead others to Him. I told her that she was the type person with whom I wanted to enter battle. Just like those brave souls at the Alamo, I’m convinced that she will be right there fighting with all she has ‘till the “last dog dies” and she’s called home to glory.
We need more people like her to get on the battlefield.
I’ve asked her to join us in supporting our worldwide ministry (ever since my son’s dream I’ve been thinking that maybe we ought to rename our ministry, The Evangelists). She agreed to become a part of it and then paid me a high compliment yesterday in telling me that the main reason for her support is that she’s observed that I’m attempting to use all of the resources that God has given me to help spread the Gospel.
I appreciate her saying that and I think we should all take inventory on what we can do to spread the Gospel. I would ask you to do what I do and even more.
So what do I do?
Hmmm . . . In addition to my fulltime job as CEO of a multi-million dollar company, (Honey Lake Plantation Resort and Spa), I personally witness one on one wherever, whenever, and to whomever at every available opportunity; I speak publically to large and small groups every time anyone invites me to do so (and I can squeeze it into my crowded schedule); I write Words for the Day five times per week; I’ve written one evangelical book and am currently writing another; I appear on radio and television at every opportunity; I’m interviewed for various articles by numerous printed media and Internet outlets; I vote for leaders whose spiritual views come closest to mine and encourage others to do so; I pray throughout each and every day; I designed, built, organized, and help to administer Honey Lake Church and even more importantly our worldwide ministry in order to preach the Gospel throughout my community and the world; I serve on two Christian based boards, I serve in the Bill Glass Prison Ministry as a platform speaker, and in addition to all of that “time” expended, I give of my personal money until it hurts!
So am I bragging about this?
Not no, but HELL NO!
I could care less about what anyone thinks of me and anyone who really knows me, or has read Words for the Day for any length of time, or my book, or has heard my personal testimony knows that.
I report directly to God and He’s the one I’m trying to please and not the world.
I do all I do in thankfulness for what Jesus has done in my life and because of the tremendous burden I have in my heart for lost souls. By sharing my efforts with all of my readers I’m simply trying to give you some ideas and encouragement to do more.
If you’re one of those who isn’t doing anything, then what the heck are you waiting for? Get off the couch and onto the battlefield now! Because as sure as the sun rises in the east we are losing the war brothers and sisters! Without more reinforcements billions of people will spend eternity in hell where they will be forever separated from our loving God.
It doesn’t have to be that way and if more witnessing occurs, more prayer, more voting, more preaching, more teaching of the word, more hard work, more sacrifice, and more MONEY to pay for all of the foregoing is donated, then precious lives will be saved!
If you agree with this post, then do something. If you disagree, then sit there on your fat butts and munch on your chips and sip your Coke with your glazed over eyes as you stare at your one-eyed God television sets and allow our once great country to continue its slide on into the bottomless pit of slime along with millions of lost souls.
Oh yeah – I would be remiss not to say too that it’s your God-given right to disagree with me, but before you send your hate mail please know kind sir and madam that as for what you think of me, “frankly my dears I don’t give a damn!” . . .
And for you legalists, yes I used profanity thrice in this post. But how are you any different? With your inaction and pharisaical attitudes you too say, “Go to hell!”
Some of you are more concerned with my using words like “damn”, “hell”, or “butts” than you are over billions of people dying without ever hearing that the blood of Jesus covering their black sins would have given them a free ticket into paradise…
Selah . . . Stop, rest, and meditate . . . And then get off your damn butts and do something! LOL
